Well part of my compulsion is to write/video talking through what’s going on in my head. I’ve been posting here sure but not as much as I’d like and I haven’t been sending my friends and family as much stuff. So maybe start with doing only half a compulsion instead of a full one?
Like I’m deleting things after writing them even though my mom said it was ok for me to “vent” I just write it DONT immediately send it then later when I’m calmer delete the message permanently. It’s sorta helping 🤷🏼♀️

Try delaying compulsions first— tell yourself you can do it in 10 minutes and see how long you can delay. That’s progress!
i delay most of them for hours but i still end up doing them :(

@ughhh You're welcome, It really works for me and the fact of being aware of it every day helps me a lot, by dint of educating your brain, my compulsions are shorter
Are you getting therapy through the app? I think a therapist can help you with creating the best exposures and responses to these exposures. In the mean time, try sitting with the anxiety while its happening. When your OCD is telling you to do something about your thoughts, do the opposite. You don't have to listen to your OCD and you can sit with the anxiety.
Thank you, im not getting therapy through the app, i dont think its available in my country. I have been looking for therapists that work with ocd where i live and i have scheduled an appointment so i hope that helps :)
