you fear this because there's emotion/a feeling attached to the supposed outcome.. -anxiety over something you care about -which is not saying your thoughts out loud. therefore this is the feared consequence. you then complete mental checks 'did i' 'what if', however this searching is what gives more life to the thought, makes it feel more real. if you don't dwell, the thought and anxiety pass by themselves 💭
