I do the same thing. If something gives me an intrusive thought I avoid it as well. I know I probably shouldn’t but then I don’t have to face the compulsion. I hope all goes well for you. You got this!

@getwellsoon I’m so sorry :( you will get back to yourself. I know right now seems like a hard part. What about focusing on things you like? My therapist said I should do things that make me feel productive and take my focus off of the thoughts
If you are avoiding smt bc of intrusive thoughts you're acting on them and making them seem worse than they are. Do it anyways. And allow yourself to feel scared without running away (mentally). Avoidance is a compulsion
trying to cope with it
