I may be wrong, but when you see a therapist and get a diagnosis I think you’re more generally diagnosed with ocd, because themes can change. Like for myself, my contamination ocd was more persistent when I was younger, and now pocd is more consistent for me.
I think I have afew themes at the moment is that normal?
@Anonymous Oh yea I have a few themes at the moment as well!
@Cloclo4 ah okay! ☺ I also kind of want to go to a therapist/doctor to see what is up with me but I'm really worried they wont understand pocd and might think I actually am a p or what if I dont have it then that would be a bit worrying
We live in a time when self diagnosis is frowned upon. For the most part yes. But I’ve struggled with OCD for 7+ years undiagnosed and no one can tell me otherwise I don’t have it. Sometimes you just know. Your words are even more telling that you have POCD. Don’t be ashamed. Therapist aren’t taught to judge. Also, my themes throughout the years are forever changing and switching back and forth so no worries. Hope you get help :)
thank you so much ☺
