They just ask you some simple questions like what you’re struggling with. What insurance you have and all of that good stuff. It’s not scary at all. Then they set you up with a therapist and a NOCD peer advisor
Go for it. They are polite and understanding. The person that set me up with my therapist suffered from OCD too and got treatment through NOCD. Chances are they’ve been where you are. They ask you the reason you would like to see a therapist, which therapist (if you vetted them on the NOCD directory in your state or country), when you would like an appointment, along with billing questions. Pretty standard stuff. I felt the same anxiety and fear you did but I’m glad I did it.
It's not too scary!!! I was really nervous but they just ask some simple questions! They don't even diagnose you on the call, that will come when you are matched with a therapist!!
I was super nervous before I made the initial call. But it was pretty standard. I spoke with a very nice lady. Only takes about 15 minutes. Then you get matched with a therapist. They also send you email letting you know if treatment is covered by your insurance. Take the plunge. You will be glad you did. The sooner you call, the sooner you can begin treatment and get a diagnosis.
Thank you everyone ❤️
