I’ve heard this before when it comes to self fulfilling prophecies. For example, if I fear my bf leaving me, then I constantly accuse him of cheating, eventually he will leave me and then I will say to myself “see, I knew he would leave me eventually” so this would be a way of it manifesting and I have actually seen people drive their partners away with their ocd

Well, I explained it above, if you look up the concept of “self fulfilling prophecies” you will get the gist of it 😎

I’m not saying it will manifest directly and instantly. I was only speaking on behalf of ROCD cheating subtype II as for other types of OCD I don’t know if it will manifest or not as I am no expert on these except the one I have just mentioned

I struggle so bad with intrusive thoughts. They can be so bad that I'll cry because I KNOW that's not how I feel or want to do. (Too embarrassed to say what they're about) I'll constantly try to figure out why I have them, and constantly figure out what they mean, causing me to constantly circle around and around. I had to get on anxeity meds, which helped a little but the thoughts still happen. How do you help yourself with this? How do you know that you're just not some physcopath? 😅

Does confessing an intrusive thought just make it come back stronger?

Any one else deal with this? Like from the moment they wake up to the second they fall asleep, the intrusive thoughts are there?
