It is still early days only been taking it for almost 3 weeks now and the Doc said I should see some great results between 6-8 weeks but up until now it has really helped. I take Desvenlafaxine (Pristiq in USA) 50mg day, he also gave me a benzo but so far didnt need it at all. Best thing I also noticed is how the intrusive thoughts fade if you just sit with it and resist doing the compulsions, it just buggers off.

I have tried it and it made my OCD spike exponentially, I never touched cbd or thc or any related products since that day. Best is get professional help from a OCD specialist psychiatrist and or therapist. I did and I am getting betteršŖgoodluck to you aswell we will beat this thing

Somehow for me (I took gummies and will try oil soon) made me feel really good! I even was able to see some of my triggers without being triggered! It's as if I was normal again. Note that my CBD was mixed with some THC (2:1) so it might have elevated my mood. But I will def try CBD without the THC, because it does relax me a lot.

It very well could help some ppl very good, but this OCD nonsense is a bugger when it comes to meds, some ppl get worse others get better after a while and some just stay where they are. I was lucky with my first treatment of meds. 0 side effects except headache first 2 days

@JManon31 Absolutely, some people should not take CBD or any kinds of drugs that are not prescribed. But my own experience of CBD was very nice and gave me a sense of calm. I also have ADHD and it did wonders. It's always a good thing to talk with a doctor and start with micro-doses if anything. Glad your meds were great, which one are you taking?

Medication for OCD? Hello all, 19 male here, this seems like a cool community that isnāt nearly as triggering as reddit. I have pretty severe bouts of existential thinking or fear of going crazy ( psychosis ) after some pretty heavy mushroom trips a few years ago, I know logically I should be fine but I do know what itās like to lose it and itās scary. Currently I deal with relationship focused OCD, itās all day from before I even open my eyes. I want things to work out with my girlfriend badly. Also I can come close to a panic attack sometimes which perpetuates everything. Anyway, I mention the fear of going crazy because the way my anxiety/derealization makes me feel is that Iām not mentally stable cause I feel out of it or unreal. I saw that a lot of anxiety and depression medication can cause psychosis and I feel like I could use some help in getting ahead of my OCD because the compulsions are had not to give into when Iām in such distress/not knowing. Plus overall I just feel like I have no idea how I feel about close to anything. Anyone relate about that ?

My ocd gets so loud in the silence and right before bed when thereās no distractions. I always struggled with anxiety since my teens and guided meditation used to help⦠until OCD. First time trying guided meditation with OCD I had an intrusive thought of āwhat if you actually lose control and canāt follow these instructions?ā And got even more anxious š« š« š« had to stop, and havenāt tried to meditate ever since. Just curious to know. Sometimes I feel like I have the worst type of OCD. It will latch onto anything to make me anxious!

I just got diagnosed with ocd and she suggested I think about taking lexapro for it. Has anybody tried that and does it help at all?
