I honestly don't know what to say - that's a really rough situation to be in. Do you have other therapy options? I know going to an inpatient facility would be ideal if you're suffering from debilitating symptoms, but if that isn't a choice, you might find at least a little relief with regular therapy. This website also offers virtual support groups for free every day, and the opportunity to connect with others who have OCD can provide some emotional relief, as well as resources for help if you're depressed or suicidal. It looks like NOCD is also attempting to partner with Medicaid in Tennessee, but I'm not sure how that will work out.

I tried looking for a therapist that can help me wit my ocd and go somewere to get on medicine and do that while waiting to get into somewere but there’s only 2 ocd therapist in the state of Tennessee and neither one take Medicaid and some places have told me I could be reimbursed but I can’t afford to pay them to be reimbursed I only get 533 a month you can’t even find an apartment for that cheap but I can get into a place for medicine but I’ve been on medicene in the past and nothing worked and the ppl prescribing it didn’t understand ocd so I don’t want someone who doesn’t no wat I’m dealing wit I’ve seen multiple doctors to I wouldn’t go to a regular doctor for surgery I’d go to a surgeon the regular doctor mite no that I need surgery but he can’t actually do it just like the doctors prescribeing me medicene they no certain medicine helps ocd but they don’t understand it.

There’s a place we’re I live called Cumberland mental health I’ve gone there in the past 1 time I new I needed more help so I asked for counseling I went in to see the counselor and she told me there not allowed to ask bout personal problems there only allowed to tell you stuff and we did breathing excersizes so these medicade places are horrible unless you just need some medicene for a small problem they can’t properly care for you.
