YES omg
YES ALL THE TIME. I can’t even watch the news because once I see something it sticks with me and my brain makes me think I’ve done it…
It is - researching and doomscrolling are a real challenge for me, and to be honest, I've more or less stopped looking at the news. After way too many wasted hours, I realized that about 99% of everything I was watching and reading was 1. Something I already knew, 2. Something I didn't know but easily could have guessed or found out through other means, 3. Something I didn't know and really didn't need to know because there was nothing I could do about it anyway, 4. Useless facts, or 5. Clickbait and bullsh*t. I skim headlines every so often to obtain a general idea of what's going on in the world, and I occasionally watch Trevor Noah (that guy is a magician - somehow he can take a terrible news story and make it a lot more approachable and manageable using comedy) but that's about it.
Sometimes yeah
I think it is. That has happened to me countless times!!!
