Yes, it seems that at night I go into a wave of thoughts.
yes me too , and it feels a lot harder to rationalize them.
@user103546546 I think it's because at night we end up being more alone, everything is silent, so it's a fertile ground for intrusive thoughts to take over.
yes i agree , and also tired so i guess even harder to think clearly
I usually get them the moment i wake up
I do , especially if i have had an uncomfortable dream
Hmm I have this when I wake up and I believe eveeythink
I get that feeling more in the morning when I just wake up and I haven’t had my caffeine or haven’t woken up to reality. I’m still waking up after being asleep so coming back to another state of being I guess triggers my anxiety.
does caffeine help you ?
@user103546546 Yes caffeine does help me. I think so. It might make me more anxious but at the same time it makes me more alert so I feel more in control of myself. Also it puts me in a better mood. So it’s weird I guess it could make me more anxious but it somehow helps my mind at the same time.
okay , thanks! i started to avoid it when i had relapse in fear of making it worse but i was thinking actually that maybe it helps me to think a bit more clearly
Yes, my intrusive thoughts get way worse at night.
does anyone get dreams where the thoughts ‘come true’
Yes, I have dreams related to my OCD thoughts and fears all the time.
@Lms526 do you have any advice on how to overcome this? i have rocd , and in my dreams i feel the thing i have been fearing feeling all day and then when i wake up and remember the dream and the feeling i become convinced that is truly how i feel
