Give it a few more weeks. Fluoxetine does tend to be one of the more stimulating SSRIs and it’s a common side effect. Usually this settles down in a few weeks but possibly have it reviewed after 6 weeks if no improvement. See what doctor suggests

So, I stopped my fluoxitine after ten days. It made my OCD wayyyyyy worse, I was super super afraid, I had tremors, I sweat so bad my phone didn't recognize my fingerprint. It was awful. I know there's a period of time where I need to adjust but honestly since I've stopped it, I feel so so much better. I know that's not the answer for everyone and always talk to your MD, but it could be that ssri isn't the one for you. Gene Site (or sight spelling? Just Google) can do a blood test that will actually tell you which medication you'll tolerate best. They also do it with ADHD meds. Might be something to look into if you don't want to keep waiting to see if prozac works or just to know so you're not trying a ton of different meds before finding one that works for your body.

Is this available in the UK? I stopped fluoxetine for the same reasons and I’m terrified to try a new one

@cmd88 I'm not sure? Here's the link: https://genesight.com/gene-test-mental-health-medications/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=branded&utm_content=103375724152&utm_term=genesight%20testing&gclid=Cj0KCQiAuvOPBhDXARIsAKzLQ8GQS_Vb9Uh65d9OLeoNEmUbDM2QOMrpzthutUMkTNJskdtbciAV4esaAg0lEALw_wcB At the bottom of their page they have an email. I'd email them and ask. If not, they might know which way to direct you?

Hey everyone, I've been struggling with severe obsession over my blinking for more than a month now (&24/7), fearing I will never stop thinking about it. It came out of nowhere while I was walking (can OCD come like this without a reason ?). I'm starting to take Fluoxetine. I'm scared it won't help with the "hyperawerness". Does someone have a similar experience and can help me ?

I’m a few days in on starting 10 mg of Prozac, my anxiety has definitely been heightened and it’s making it really hard for me to eat :( also sleep has been very hard when the intrusive thoughts fill my head. I want to stick with the medication and give it a good shot as I know it could really help me. Any suggestions or some encouragement to help me get through this time
