Hocd

My hocd feels so real like every time i see a girl my eyes automatically goes to their tits or ass and it stresses me out and I sometimes get these intrusive thoughts out of nowhere saying “if you u really like girls then you’ll have to leave you bf” orr I get these images of being with a girl and all sorts of things there are many more but I can’t seem ti remember at the moment I’m sure they will come back to me but it feels so real sometimes I think is this true do I like girls as well?

hey hey hey!! slow down girl! i know how anxious you must feel, trust me. that person’s comments triggered me too. this is prime time ocd. it makes you question everything and will not let you rest until you reach certainty. you don’t have to figure this out. this isnt an equation to solve. i know it is so hard to put it down, but it helps to realize that 1. your sexual orientation is the least interesting and important thing about you and 2. you may never know your sexuality and that’s OKAY. and i don’t mean that in a “just accept yourself ✨” way i mean that in a for your recovery way, learn to LIVE IN UNCERTAINTY. learn to be comfortable with saying “i dont jnow” or “maybe, maybe not”.

Thank u I literally just had a really bad ocd episode for like the first time in months. It’s just hard because my ocd is super loud and won’t shut up which leaves me anxious for ages I was doing really good with my intrusive thoughts than I came on here to get some advice than bam a sobbing episode it hurts even more because I LOVE my bf sm and when my ocd is telling me all these things I just start panicking badly

I won’t answer because idk you but in my experience OCD messed with my idea of attraction. What I experienced felt real to me in the moment when really it was disgust and groinal response that I presumed was attraction. I thought of it only because it scared me, not because I truly liked it. What you’re describing sounds like OCD because something is telling you to break up with your bf and you don’t like that. My mind wasn’t exactly like that but it had and has a similar thinking process

Same except with guys… I only want to be with girls but when I see a beautiful one it’s like my eyes go to the dude when I’m not even trying to look at the dude at all… also when I see a person with long hair I used to assume that it was a girl but because there’s too many guys with long hair nowadays my HOCD tells me that “your in denial because you have feelings for a man” when I’ve never had any feelings for a man and I thought the person with long hair was a girl 😞😞😞 plus now my HOCD is making me think k had feelings in the past for men when I don’t remember that ever happening 😭😭😭

I used to feel like this often. For me I am bisexual and I promise that doesn’t mean you have to leave your current partner. It helped me to open up to a partner or close friend that you can trust about potentially liking women too. And just because you have these thoughts doesn’t necessarily mean you actually do like women. Sometimes it’s just your brain being curious

Oh god this has triggered me ☹️ because when I was 14 or something all of a sudden I found a girl really attractive for like the first time ever and I started to get a bit anxious but after a while I told my bf at the time I was bi but after a while I was like mmm maybe not because I preferred men like woman are pretty and all that but I will only have sex with a woman and then years later My hocd started

@Novanocd But the thing is I would never date a girl but my ocd keep giving me these intrusive thoughts saying I’m lying and all this and it’s really stressing me out and making me anxious 😣

Can hocd really feel this real? I can never shake it off that I’m not really straight. It just seems that one day out of the blue I realized I was gay. I don’t even know anymore. Every time I see I pretty girl it feels so real, I try to accept the thought but it just doesn’t work. I just want to like guys and that’s all.

Why do i feel like with hocd i look way more at girls than at boys. My eyes are just focused on girls these days i completely forgot about boys at this point. I hate it but when i see a pretty girls its like i must look while i never had that before. It makes me feel like im jusr attracted hut wont admit it. Its crazy because sometimes when guys stared at me im like why are they looking? Because i never understood but my mom said its just a guy thing they always look at girls. And now i feel like i “opened” my eyes and now i “see” the attractiveness in girls too. I hate it like now i look at pretty girls too and im like i never did this before. I dont unferstand its not like i want to be with them i just look ever since hocd. I always used to question myself like what do guys see in girls? I always thiught guys were cute snd then thought do they really feel this same warm feelings forgirls too? Like girls are boring and idk why u would be attracted to them. But now hocd come up and i try to force the feelings i felt for boys on girls and i feel like is real but it doestn feel anything like the feelings i had for boys so i just call it fake attraction towards girls. Ugh so complex

All ocd is horrible to go through but there’s something about hocd that’s really difficult. It feels like your lying to yourself when u know your not. I know I’m straight because when I don’t have these intrusive thoughts I feel myself again. Does anyone else with hocd like panic if they see like another woman in say like lingerie or something on say Instagram ? Sounds stupid but I’ll see a girl like that on Instagram and it’s like a part of my brain that I don’t want saying you are attracted to that you want a woman you are gay. I know it’s ocd but then does anyone else have moments were they panic and just think shall I just give up maybe I’m just in denial? But then if I say okay I’m by that’s fine I just feel like I’m lying to myself cause I know I’m not. It’s like you can’t win. If I see like a woman’s chest like I can appreciate that boobs are pretty which I do think they are but I’m not attracted to them the same way I am with male body parts if you get me. But it’s like a part of your brain that’s convincing you you do. Like I’m scared
