Examine the evidence. Sure there's always a .01% chance for anything, right, even committing genocide. What evidence do you have that you are a good person that wouldn't follow through on that. I don't know you, but I know for sure that the amount of guilt you are displaying would not come through on someone who would commit genocide. Next compile evidence for why you are evil and think about the evidence for that being true. OCD loves to prey on irrationality and "what ifs". It's not always easy but taking a step back and becoming a lawyer can help to quell emotional responses to troubling thoughts.

No problem. Cognitive restructuring is a powerful tool in combating OCD. Accepting the thoughts despite fear comes with time but it is helpful to treat the thoughts like leaves on a stream and acknowledge the thoughts and emotion but know they will pass

This is a lifelong journey that you've taken the first step in. My end goal is to be at a place where I can thrive WITH and DESPITE the fact that I have OCD. There are good days and bad days but the commiting to change is necessary.

That definitely sounds very isolating you demonstrate a lot of insight into your thoughts. Your thoughts are also justified because there's truth in them which can be distressing as well. Sometimes getting out of your head and into something physically demanding is all you can do to stop from running down rabbit holes.

It's definitely scary but you're engaging which is a powerful first step. Acceptance and commitment comes with time which usually accepts that these OCD symptoms are separate from your true self

Try to re-adjust your hostile reaction. People can often do things that are beyond comprehension. Sadly desperate people may not have the time to stop and think of consequences of their behavior

Should I just ignore them in general or should I just let them exist and let them in once and a while

Without very little stress with them lots of stress I just wish they'd go away for good my counselor said to let them in once in a while and just let them exist. It's scary though
