I think false memories are just like that.... They are blurred and very unclear....... Don't analyze it anymore...... Don't give attention to it..... Just let it go....

@falsememoriessuck Something like this happened to me days ago...... I remembered a blury memory..... And felt guilty about that and became hugely depressed.... I even beated myself up...... I was also finding way like you how to if that was real or not.... But no matter how hard i tried i couldn't figure out..... So false memories are just like that..... Blurry and unclear.... Maybe that's why they are false memories as you can't remember well..... So the thing is when i struggled with that false memory...... I didn't know that it's happening cause of false memory ocd....i didn't even know anything about false memory ocd theme....... It was my first false memory ocd experience So i felt guilty a lot and started to find way how to know if that was real or not.... But nothing helped me.. Trust me... It just made the things worse.... So don't try to figure out... And don't ruminate it or even think about it let it just go..... Even you keep digging in it it will get worse and there will be no benefit by that cause no matter how hard you try to remember the thing you won't remember clearly cause it's false memory..... It will get more unclear and confusing....... So don't think much You're a good Person :)

@falsememoriessuck And another thing which helped to me to stop thinking about that is i thought that whatever i did at that time... Which is unclear to me now.... And I'm now beating myself... Cause i can't remember clearly..... Whatever happened then if because of that i can beat myself now.. Cause i think maybe i did something unforgivable then...... Then why didn't i beat myself then? when it happened..... This is how i tackled that situation that is if you think you did something unforgivable then..... Which you can't remember now....... And if you can beat yourself now for that.... You also must have beated yourself up for that when it happened..... And if you didn't beat yourself up then....... Then trust me you did nothing unforgivable..... It's just your false memory trying to manipulate you...... Cause if you really did something unforgivable then..... You would have immediately beated up yourself then..... As you are beating up yourself now.......... But if you didn't beat up yourself then when it happened.... Then trust me you did nothing wrong then.... It's just your ocd.... This is how i figured out that if it was a false memory or i really did something....... Hope i could help you...... And don't think and ruminate on it again...... It will be all okay and you're a nice person β€οΈ

There is no way to check, you just have to breathe & let it go. Donβt punish yourself for things that arenβt fact x
