Because you respond in a wrong way. Stop doing compulsions and endure anxiety. The more you do it the easier it gets and the less it will intrude with your life. Maybe up to a point which there is no OCD left or its not bothersome. Thats the goal. Identify compulsions and stop doing them. Don't follow your feelings, follow your goals. It doesn't matter how you feel what matters is what you do. Don't do compulsions and you will get better I promise.
@Arn042 Yeah, I get that. But my problem is that I do compulsions 24/7!! I need to identify them
