Q&A For Me!
I realized I haven’t done a Q&A with y’all in months! Hopefully this is the right time for some folks, at least. Please comment with any questions you have and I’ll do my best to answer ❤️👏🏻🌸

hi i remember you said you do ERP everyday and i was wondering how you go about doing that 🥲
@blazed I interact with the world around me, basically. And I do what my OCD doesn’t want me to do as well. If it wants me to not go outside, then I go outside. If it’s saying I’m going to randomly become a serial killer, I’ll watch a true crime show. That counts as ERP.
I dealt with soocd about 3 years ago and had a relapse when my boyfriend said “if we were to break up for any reason it would be because one of us is secretly gay” (as a joke) (I’ve never had any thoughts until that triggered it) and since then I’ve questioned our whole relationship and wondered if I was gay the whole time. This has led to rocd and soocd for the past 2 months. It’s easier to deal with now, but has really disrupted my life and relationship. Any tips on how to deal with this?
@kirby7980 If it was a joke, then it was a joke. And you have to accept the uncomfortable feelings and uncertainty that maybe he wasn’t joking.
@Nica Yeah it’s kinda spiraled into 2 month issue of rocd and soocd. It’s weird though because we made gay jokes all the time and it never once made me get this sick with ocd before
If you have less intrusive thoughts (besides doing a compulsion like avoiding and not looking to toddlers and some people like family members.), does it mean you have OCD?
@MrMan45 Yup, I still have OCD. I just don’t have any themes, obsessions, and I don’t do any compulsions.
When did you notice you had ocd? Also what are you favorite hobbies?
@Pennyroyal My mom noticed it at around age 4, so I have intense OCD. I love to read and bake 🌸
What was your ocd
@ahmed sameh I’ve had all the themes you can think of 😌
@Nica If u can help me in my breathing ocd i'll be so grateful. My trouble with breathing that i monitor it all the time. I feel tired. I want to take a rest from that breathing. But u know that's impossible😞
What are those themes?
@smilesforall I don’t have any current themes but like I said, I’ve had them all and got over them.
Where did you take your ERP? How far along are you in recovery?
@Brian :) I did it with my own therapist near me and I’ve been recovered for 3 years.
@Nica Happy for you !!! That’s amazing !

@Veronica_ I like name Nica . Reminds me of the character off the chucky movies . Pretty name :)
@Veronica_ No, it isn’t short for anything. I don’t believe in astrology so asking about it isn’t going to do much, honestly. I grew up with all that 😝
What's your occupation?
@Rodrigo Gier I work in an office doing paperwork and other receptionist stuff.
What’s on your minds?
I haven’t done a Q&A in over a year (my bad) but I used to do these at least once a month. Work is slow today, so please send me any questions you have about OCD and I’ll answer them as best as I can. A little about me: I’ve been subclinical/recovered for going on 5 years and I’ve been on this app volunteering since 2019 in an unofficial capacity—I’m not connected to the NOCD team, so I don’t have any badges. I did ERP treatment with my therapist in-person while I was also being treated for PTSD. I have OCD, PTSD, ADHD, depression, GAD, social anxiety, driving anxiety, and a few speech impediments.
So, how are you today?
