I'm feeling the same today. I'm so stressed about this. I'm trying not to give in the compulsion but like everything I do my ocd find a way to incriminate me

Yes! It's so triggering, and the thing is that it's hard to dismiss them as they feel so real, even though it makes you overwhelmingly distressed.

Yep. What I'm trying to do is to tell myself that I'll think about it tomorrow. When I start to get really anxious about this, I postpone trying to find the answer. There's no answer, because deep down, this isn't what OCD is about. It just tricks you into thinking that it is.

Yes, Lauren. Sometimes I'm hanging around some friends, and some random intrusive thought comes up like: "oh, you want to kiss her. Look at you, thinking about this". It makes me feel terrible. My mind screams no, that i don't, but then I think that I may just be in denial of my "true self". It's so weird. Before it was trying to convince me that I'm only attracted to women, and now it's trying to convince me that I'm bi. I just want this to stop. I hate this. And notfortalk, I know that it's hard, but I'm proud of not giving in to your compulsions. It just makes things worse in the end.

@lauren98 do you get urges and feel like you want to act on your thoughts even though your mind is screaming no?

I get what you mean , like you don’t want to do whatever the thought it but you get this feeling/urge that it feels so real like you want to do it , even though you don’t

EXACTLY I know I’ve been attracted to grown men and I don’t want to hurt anyone and I’ve gone through other ocd symptom relapses but each time feel like this is the time it’s going to become true (even though it won’t)

I think a way to overcome this obsession is to try to accept the possibility of being gay or bi.i mean deep inside you you know what you really are but because of the anxiety that the thoughts cause you, you get confused.but when you try to solve the puzzle or be sure about it you get more anxious. Don’t try to fight the thought

That’s the whole accept the uncertainty but with some pure o types that very hard
