I m convinced I have a blood clot in my brain I been getting headaches with dizziness and nausea at the same time I had it twice today :( felt like my blood pressure dropped and at the same time headaches dizziness nausea ;(
Yes, it can if you’re obsessing over something specific. You can definitely make yourself physically sick by extreme anxiety and stress. I’ve done it thousands of times throughout my life.
@Nica Ok I m a hypochondriac I really don’t want to go to the doctor :( how did you know it was ocd and no a truly health issue ?
@Monii Go to a doctor and say you think you have a blood clot and tell then your symptoms. Knowing people who have had that, from what you’ve just said, you don’t have it. You’d be dead by now, basically. As were the two people I knew who had blood clots in their brains. You sound like you have Health OCD and you’re taking it to the extreme—as OCD does. Unless you’ve suffered a head injury or have blood clots in your family, this is OCD and you making yourself sick to mimic possible blood clot symptoms.

My fear is that it could really be a medical issue and I m treating it as anxiety :(
I run into this issue a lot- unfortunately you have to just tell yourself "it is what it is". Anxiety causes so many physical symptoms. A couple years back I was convinced I had stomach cancer; spent months going to doctors, having biopsies, cameras inside of me, etc and it was literally just OCD and anxiety causing the issue. It's okay to be scared and it's even okay to tell your doctor about your concerns, but you also have to accept that OCD and anxiety make you hyperfixate on these issues, making the physical symptoms even worse. I'm sorry you're going through this too, it's really a scary and painful experience, but you're not alone in what you're going through ❤
@Idyot :( thank you so much I m literally crying because is so hard living like this I tried epr but some how the last 3 days is no working :( I know anxiety can cause so many symptoms but my brain keep telling me is a blood clot a stroke or my brain is bleeding inside :( I really wish I didn’t have this thoughts I m so scared of this symptoms I m scared about headaches and everyday I get headache on my temple in my head I m happy I m no alone is so so sad though
@Monii I'm so sorry, just remember it's not your fault and you're not overreacting. It's horrifying enough having OCD thoughts ontop of physical symptoms. It's hard now, but you're doing everything right- therapy takes time and it's so frustrating when it feels like the anxiety is winning, but you're still making progress everyday. I promise you'll make it through this and you'll be stronger for it 😀
@monii anxiety and panic attacks can cause a slew of symptoms. From my experience with severe panic for a very long time, it can be different for everyone too. I’ve definitely had everything you’ve listed. I am similar to you in how I jump to the extreme when I feel anything abnormal.
@sigirt3 Yes was you experiencing headaches constantly? is driving me crazy I m trying to ignore it but is so hard as a hypochondriac I keep getting thoughts what if what if
@Monii That is not one of my common panic attack symptoms, but I have been getting them lately after major periods of stress. They occur like shooting pains almost across the entire side of my head above my ear

I think it's just anxiety, but I've been experiencing random bouts of anxiety around the evenings, usually around 8pm is when it kicks in. Is there an explanation for this? My head will feel cold and I'll start to feel dizzy and sick. Sometimes I worry it could be my eating habits.
does anyone else get really sick like every 2-3 weeks. i dont know if its my anxiety but i always get really bad nausea flu type symptoms every few weeks and like headaches with sinus and ear issues but the doctor said everythings fine and ive been to ER like 3 times and they said everything’s perfect :(
Over the years I’ve had vertigo a few times. The most recent couple times have been debilitating. Like I can’t even get up and walk, my head is completely spinning, I get hot and nauseous and have even vomited. I pretty much have to put my head down with my eyes closed until it passes, then I have to basically lay down the rest of the day or for a few hours before I’m back to normal. I don’t know why I was having vertigo before, and I haven’t had it in probably a year or so, but I’m always afraid it’s going to happen in certain scenarios. At work with clients or sometimes while I’m driving. My anxiety then kicks in, which makes me feel a little lightheaded or weird, which I’m then monitoring for vertigo, and the cycle continues until I’m out of the situation. I’ve never had vertigo during these times and even if I did, I know I could handle it. But it’s so annoying! I feel like this is somewhat related to my OCD and it’s definitely related to my anxiety. Anyone dealt with anything similar?
