This… this notification on the screen… seeing this hurts… so so much… someone commenting on a post you’ve made and then blocking you… for anyone who does this… I genuinely don’t understand… what did I do?
i think it’s because you keep reassurance seeking and posting long things under others’ posts asking for reassurance. i don’t think it’s anything to do with you personally. you just keep posting the same thing looking for reassurance, which is understandable as that comes with the territory for OCD. but please understand that this constant reassurance seeking is not helpful.
@dquests It’s just that when someone blocks me… I get extremely upset and sad because either A. I assume they think I’m in denial of my ocd, or B. I assume they hate me or are extremely annoyed by me… it just upsets me a lot… I’m a really sensitive person so seeing this type of thing just really hurts….
@Givenup i understand. i won’t give reassurance. but i will say even after all your posts i just see you as someone with severe ocd. i think people just do not want to see the same post over and over again, because you have been posting the same thing constantly. i get that fear of people being annoyed with you, especially when it’s your OCD and anxiety causing you to do this reassurance seeking. but please understand others aren’t required to give in to your reassurance seeking and can block you if they don’t want to constantly see the same post. it doesn’t say anything about you as a person, just that your posts are a bit excessive and reassurance seeking.

@dquests me personally, i don’t hate you neither am i annoyed by you. but i’ve noticed you keep posting the same thing over and over again even under others’ posts.
@Givenup it’s okay, i’m sure we all understand what you’re dealing with right now. i certainly do. i’ve been in your position before too where i constantly ask for reassurance. it’s really scary to feel like people are annoyed with you or don’t like you. but just understand that constantly reassurance seeking will not help your ocd, it will make it worse.

@Givenup hey, like i said it’s ok. i understand how being blocked by people hurts. especially when you’re deep in OCD and already feel terrible about yourself. but it’s ok for that to happen. sometimes people will block you, that just happens. you shouldn’t let it affect your recovery. you’re a strong person.
I don't know the full story here, but sometimes what we write has the potential to be triggering for others and they could even block it for that reason. You can't always judge someone else's actions because you don't know what they are personally going through.
@JohnG They just said something on a post. Before I could see what the person said, it had said she had blocked me. She didn’t have POCD or HOCD or real events OCD.
