So my therapist told me that whenever I get an intrusive thought or image I need to substitute it with something I like. But here's the thing, I'm a maladaptive daydreamer, I used to daydream a lot and I love fantasizing however whenever I try to daydream something with a boy my mind turn into something gay or when I see something my mind has to immediately find a gay relation. So I can't even daydream of a boy without my mind twisting everything and it scares me. And trying to change the thoughts makes me mentally and physically tired because it's like I have to be constantly in my mind and hyper aware. I have such strong headaches because of it. Has someone tried to change their thoughts /images with other successfully?

I feel like this too. I used to get some intrusive thoughts about this but I dismissed them easily, I never cared for these things but now it's like my mind is telling everything was me being in denial

Yes, my mind tells me that I will always push away boys and that I have to be with a girl because it's convenient, and everytime I get this distressing feeling. I tell myself "even if I were gay I'd still date boys". It's normal to feel that way if a guy is too clingy, I too happened to do the same

For me it's actually inverse, cause I'm kind of freaked out by vaginas even though I'm a girl and not by a penis. Actually it's okay to be freaked out by genitalia at our age, it doesn't affect sex at all

Even when I used to say that if I were I'd date boys I'd use the word gay cause I just can't fit in it, I've always said "what's so special about girls" of course I'd find a girl beautiful but that's just you admiring beauty
