I wanted to ask anybody out there if anyone up there has the type of OCD that I have I have music playing in my head on a constant loop 24 hours a day 7 days a week I have conversations and I have music in my head when I'm falling asleep I have music in my head so it's hard for me to sleep and fall asleep so if anybody has any tips that can help me with this I would truly appreciate it. Thank you
Hi! I had this as well. I noticed that it would increase in time of panic and although it was 24/7 it was because I was in a panic/tense just that often. It’s been a few months and songs will come maybe for a few minutes out of the day. I would ignore the song if you’re not the one cueing it. Eventually (could be days), it will fade out, but don’t acknowledge the song. This is hard if you like the song or very much so dislike it, but it will go away. If you find it very hard to disengage or accidentally singing along with the song, the ERP that I did was to allow myself to interact with one verse of the song and then stop. Eventually the goal is to not engage with it at all.

The thing for me is that even when I'm having conversations I still have music in my head playing and it's really hard especially at night to fall asleep because I have the same verse or piece of a song that's just stuck on a constant loop until my brain latches on to a different song it's super annoying and it's getting to the point where it's hard to even work with this but hopefully with therapy I'll be able to overcome this
I thought I was the only one that had this type of OCD but I guess I'm wrong and now I don't feel alone thank you all for sharing your stories

I have Ed Sheeran song right now haha! Also very annoying but I try my best every night to fall asleep as quick as possible. Music and conversations are a deadly combo for sure!

Same problem here, i think my ocd understand that earworms trigger me the most, so he won't stop doing this. it's a 24/7 nightmare sometimes it switch song, but if it's one i particularly hate it last longer, i can't concentrate on nothing and struggle even to have a fluid conversation..i also have sounds loop sometimes, i'm exhausted i think i'll give up.
Don't ever give up. I thought of giving up so many times on life. I suffer from depression and anxiety and it's hard I know. But all you can do is ask God or whoever you believe in to get you through every day. I'm sorry your also going through this. If you wanna chat dm me. 🙂

Hi! I have OCD in a few different subtypes. Even when my brain isn't stuck on those scary obsessions and compulsions, it seems like it is getting stuck on every thought that comes in. Like my brain is constantly and very intensely trying to find problems to solve all throughout the day no matter what I'm thinking about, even if they aren't specific OCD thoughts. It's super exhausting! Is this a common thing with OCD? Does anyone else experience this?
I’m wondering if anybody else deals with an intense inner dialogue. It seems like my thoughts overlap each other and sometimes don’t make sense. Whether it’s a song stuck in my head, a million thoughts at once or both. It seems to never stop, even my dreams are super vivid. More recently I’ve been noticing random words or sentences that somebody has said before that has no meaning to what I’m thinking about, it will just pop in my head for no reason. For example I’ll be in the shower and “hear” a sentence one of my friends said. It sounds like their voice but it’s just in my thoughts if that makes sense. My core fear is losing my mind, so this spirals and my ocd tries to convince me that I’m hearing voices. Can anyone relate? If so what are some things that you have found to be effective when it comes to staying present. I hate not being as involved in conversations or not giving my 100% attention to things happening around me
Does anyone else have those nights where you come home from a long day at work, or being around people all day with a social battery and energy that is depleted? You are exhausted but when you try and sleep just cant seem to do so? Like your brain filled with thoughts, worries, OCD negativity etc. just keeps playing over and over in your head like a broken record on repeat? You toss and turn or sometimes just cry yourself to sleep in exhaustion and sadness and frustration? Anyone have any advice to help with this or calm the brain to help for a better sleep? Could use some sleep and rest.. Thanks 🫶
