Instead of asking why do I feel like this still why am I still depressed, just accept those thoughts and do the actions that support a healthy mind. Self discipline is important at this time.

That’s how it is for me currently the thoughts are there but I feel pretty numb to them and they don’t pop up as frequently but I still have low mood which is no fun! I need to boost my serotonin lol guess I need to get active

@licia I feel exactly the same.. I had my theme for quite some time now and instead of anxiety I am just getting depressed because of the thoughts, then I think maybe If I don't have that much anxiety it must be true and I get anxiety and after that the depressing feelings hit.. Hope that makes any sense at all.. hope we can get through this❤

No I totally get that I wonder after we’re done accepting the thoughts as true and stop reacting do we start thinking clearer? Cause I’m accepting now it just makes me depressed. When do we get the point that it’s not so black and white thinking still and we are back to reality? If that makes sense is what I’m wondering

Omg this is exactly what I am feeling and stressing out about! I still can't determine whether the thoughts are true or not! And this in combination with no intense anxiety feels just like accepting fate. I could cry because for me it actually feels more real than when I had super intense anxiety and panic-like attacs..

Yeah I totally get that to. Honestly the best way to deal with it is through keep acceptance of all the feeling associated with it. I think another key thing in the process is living a life focusing on going towards your values and healthy habits. ERP is great for reducing anxiety and ACT is great for accepting feelings. ACT also promotes living a goal oriented values life I think we are missing this key and it’s important this will boost our mood and elevate our moods. When you have a low mood it makes sense that these thoughts are making you depressed and also not seeing clearly because your emotions correlate with your thoughts. Also setting intentions everyday makes you feel empowered like in the morning writing affirmations and meditating on them visualize them and read them and at night. Make sure not to use any no’s fonts or stops in them. Make them positive like “I am happy” “ I choose my happiness” things that are empowering. I know that a lot of the reason I’m not reaching that final bump in recovery is my lack of staying consistent in doing healthy habits I think these things are really important in recovery as well because our brain is very depleted and tired we need to boost those chemicals get it healthy again to really come out the other end!

I think it is a good sign! After a while you even forget the questions.. i was always upsetting about different topics.. so much, now i can’t even remember what it was. Maybe today it feels really important, but i think that’s just how ocd works. When it feels like you have to do something ‘NOW’ i think it’s OCD. Also the book Brain Lock helped me a lot.. maybe it will help you too ⭐️??
