Health ocd

So my last few weeks have been a living hell. I have had a headache for about 2 weeks straight which of coarse i think i have a brain tumour. I have a bump on my head that looks like a mole, well my mind tells me that it is a brain tumour. I go to the doctor all the time but each time i swear there is something wrong w me. My family thinks i am crazy and can’t stand me talking about my headaches but it only talk about for reassurance and comfort. I just wanna be healthy. But i feel so unhealthy. I have had my blood done about a month ago. Everything was normal. Now my head won’t stop hurting and now i am convince i have a brain tumour cause i have all the symptoms on the internet that tell me i do. they wouldn’t be able to know if i had a brain tumour on my blood test right? so that’s why i feel they are missing something. Help!!!

It’s okay to have doubt. To have uncertainty. Your brain tells you to be sure- that you need to see a scan or that you need to *feel* uncertain in order to let it go. That is not true. Your feelings do not dictate the truth and your brain will always come up with some other “what if” or loophole. You have to accept the uncertainly, accept the anxiety and then distract yourself with life. I don’t know your thoughts on medication for OCD but it may be a good opportunity to reach out to your doctor tomorrow about resources and options for dealing with the ANXIETY you have regarding your health. Not your health, because he is taking care of that, but your anxiety is what you’re seeking help for. If your brain didn’t tell you to be anxious, you would take the doctor at his word and not care about the brain tumor. This issue is not the OCD topic, it is the uncertainty and anxiety

Google is your worst nightmare. Google can be a compulsion just like reassurance or double checking. Stay away from google and you won’t as easily be feeding your fears. Sometimes I ask myself “why am I doing this (e.g searching google for answers)?”. If my answer has anything to do with trying to find comfort, then put down your phone and go distract yourself. The anxiety will either fade OR you can be assured it’s not going to grow because you didn’t feed it new scary information

Okay good advice thank you:) Also one more thing, I have seen my doctor twice already this month. And been to the emergency clinic all for different things. I turned out to be fine. Now i am going again to the doctor tomorrow for my headaches, i am worried he won’t take me seriously at this point? I am worried he will see me as a crazy person.

and i won’t get the help i need. I guess i just have this what if you have a brain tumour thot in the back of my head. Then i add up all my symptoms and then i am convinced i have one. How do ik something is serious to something is just being created by my anxiety

You are valid in how you feel and your body is allowed to have whatever emotions it wants, but you get to decide who you listen to. Your emotions or yourslelf

my OCD was doing better bro :(

tell me why… idk if this is just me but i’m so scared i have ovarian cancer, kidney stone, kidney failure, UTI, hernia, or something wrong that’s making my lower stomach to my inner thigh and pelvic area. i have an uncomfortable feeling. it was hurting more last night then it is today… everytime i pee it doesn’t hurt but i somewhat still get the uncomfortable feeling down there and feeling in stomach. i’ve been googling and idk what to do because i’m scared of the doctors and i haven’t had a physical like in 2 years and i’m like scared if i go to a physicial i will have something wrong with me like i have cancer or something that i don’t know about. something tells me the pain tho in general is something gastrointestinal related but idk if could mean i have pain down “there”…. i took a tylenol last night it helped a little but then it still kinda occurred and i took a tum and it’s still the same i think it’s still occurring since i’m so hyper focused about it. idk i’m just like ugh my OCD was doing so well i just can’t tell what it is or if something is wrong i’m just scared :( i hate when having certain pains i freak out.

Has anyone’s obsessive thoughts changed themes?

I went from intrusive thoughts of hurting people, thinking I did horrible things and not remembering it like running people over with my car etc, to my brain trying to convince me I that I had split personality disorder to now health anxiety. The intrusive thoughts weren’t as bad as this. I’ll get physical symptoms like my heart racing, chest pain, can’t swallow. It’s been causing panic attacks but I’m constantly scared I’m dying. If my mole looks like it changed I freak out and think I have cancer. I had to get a stethoscope to listen to my heartbeat to make sure I don’t have an aortic aneurysm to buying a Fitbit to constantly check my pulse. I went to the ER bc I thought I was dying and now I’m paying a 2 thousand dollar bill when they say my heart is fine. It’s just exhausting.

Scared I have a brain tumour

I had a migraine a little over a week ago after a few months of tremendous stress and anxiety. For a few days I was okay apart from a mild headache but then i got it into my head that I have a brain tumour. Yesterday I had the worst panic attack ever caused by all this overthinking. I started getting really dizzy, numb face and arm and I was convinced I had been correct and did have a brain tumour. The panic attack subsided after I calmed myself down a little bit but I am so anxious that I have a brain tumour. The numb feeling disappeared after the panic attack. But i have a dull headache, had a twitchy eye sometimes, and neck twitches. Sometimes when I really think about it I feel like I can’t focus or keep my vision straight. I can’t stop panicking about it I’m really really scared that there’s something wrong with me. I’m gonna go to the doctors to ask about it but i just needed to vent. I feel like recently I’m spending all the time thinking I have a brain tumour and it is honestly terrifying me so much.
