Why Do You Love the NOCD App?

I first found NOCD through a google search one night. You know the kind, those rabbit holes we can get ourselves into while searching for "how do I know my significant other really loves me?" I was flabbergasted when I found an app full of people who actually understood what I was experiencing. I was convinced I was the only one for years! The NOCD app has been an incredible blessing. I love the NOCD community chat! What about you? I'd love to hear your favorite part about the NOCD app!

Knowing that other people understand what I'm going through... me thinking I'm just going insane was actually OCD and something many other people went through... it is a sense of community and understanding

I came to realize that I wasn’t the only one with these symptoms, that I wasn’t alone. At the same time, I sometimes get fearful of reading comments because I may start getting their symptoms too 🙁

Thank you so much for sharing! Yes, I can definitely understand that NOCD's community feed can both be super encouraging and also be a bit of a trigger. (Like it's own ERP exercise!)

Was just talking today about how in the past I’ve been in “bad” OCD times before (can think if 2 other occurrences), had heard about CBT, and partially considering having to leave my job and check myself into a mental hospital for it. That certainly wasn’t an option at the time, and I don’t recall really even knowing that outpatient therapy could be available. Even though that was only about 10 years ago, the world was very different then, and I am so thankful this time around NOCD was an easily accessible option and there is now tons of internet information about OCD and ERP. I also think that it’s very likely I could have ended up with someone who didn’t actually know what they were doing and how to accurately treat OCD.

@ - Trying to. It is proving to be more expensive than I thought it would be even after insurance for someone on aa fixed income.

It’s a private group. No lonely soul from Zazaganoush to cut and paste, it gives validation. I’m not 🦆ed. Still extremely angry 😡. Think this is normal. An outlet found from a Facebook group on ocd

It’s good. I had rocd I think all I know is it’s gotten better because I always thought my girlfriend was cheating on me now it doesn’t bother me as much
