really need mature adult advice!

Hey guys please comment if you can give me some advice. Not really OCD related just a life problem. I’m 19 and a content creator. I do this for a living however, recently I keep comparing my views and everything to other creators. I do the same thing they do and it doesn’t seem to work for me. I am super jealous of them and feel not worthy. Not sure why it’s not working for me. Don’t know what to do /: I’ve switched up my content so much and everything about my content gets me angry! I don’t know what to do🥲

I’m not an adult but I will offer some advice, first thing I’d like you to know is that nothing you ever do in life will have a quick top reach, nothing you do won’t require hard work. Ask yourself some questions to be mindful. First, what is causing you to not get the same number of views? If you can find the root to this problem you can fix it! Second question you should ask, How can I make it better? What are some changes you could make to your environment or your voice or perhaps if you game, maybe trying a new game. People tend to notice things that stand out so I would suggest making very attentive thumbnails unless your a twitch streamer. Keep in mind that Mr. Beast wasnt Mr. Beast in a day and Markiplier wasnt Markiplier in a day. Slowly work your way up. Try new things! Make different approaches! You can do anything you set your mind too. I have faith in you!

What makes you happy? What do you excel at? I personally would block other creates that you find yourself comparing yourself too. Find you. Find your love. And share it with the world.

@Kilo2001 Thanks so much. being funny and doing weird stuff makes me happy. I would do what I love but it doesn’t do good- and in order to make money it has to good however. What’s life if i don’t follow my passion.

@we will be ok 🍉 You will find your group of supporters. There’s millions of people in the world you just have to hit your target audience. What I watch online is completely different than my bf. Everyone enjoys different things.

Often the people who are unlike anyone else and follow their creative instincts end up really popular because they are different. An example is Gary Larson - his humor is odd and not for everyone, but I’m one of the people who wanted him and his products to come when he retired from writing comics. I look at his website of old comics every few days - he had so many fans who wanted him back that he stared a Far Side website of his old stuff.

I have question for y’all, not really sure if this is ocd but it is definitely obsessive, I have always had a problem with my self esteem but lately it has seem obsessive and I’ve been try to fix it but I feel like I’m making it worse! Seem familiar to anyone? If so any tips?

Do you guys ever feel like you're doing well and you're intrusive thoughts starts to settle down and all of a sudden it comes back. I dont feel well mentally. In the beginning, I had a OCD flare up because of a nightmare I had a few days ago and now I just feel depressed. I'm a content creator and I'm just really afraid that no one will like my work. I feel like a nobody and I feel like I won't be successful because of my intrusive thoughts or the way I look like (i also suffer from body dysmorphia). I just feel like I shouldn't be on this earth.

Anyone else get deeply sad and jealous seeing other people thrive life ? Meanwhile we’re here stuck struggling with our ocd and just mental health in general . I’m envious of what some people are able to do that I can’t :( and I don’t mean it in a hateful envious way , but just a more sad kinda way that I wish I could do stuff they can simply like driving . I’m almost 20 and I know most of ykk have probably seen many of my posts about this , but it truly puts me in a difficult state of mind . I didn’t have mental capacity to do things at younger age:( I missed out on a lot . Seeing these 16-17 year old kids achieve things way more efficiently than I did just makes me feel shitty about myself . Everyone having fun on weekend and I’m not . I don’t have many friends either .
