This is normal. It’s because it wants to keep you trapped. It’s the very nature of the disorder unfortunately. You just have to practice ERP and don’t give in to what it wants :) always bring this up to a therapist and speak to them about it to help you combat this :)

@Miss_OCD I just let it be present and don’t interact with it in any way.

I know what you mean and it does happen yeah. For me it also acts up during times I wouldn't think it would or if you're about to like do something good or are trying to achieve a goal then the OCD starts like throwing ideas or regrets or things that happened and trying to sabotage things.

@Miss_OCD That's OCD, it can be very creative and finds like all the scenarios possible or something you may not otherwise think. No don't worry you don't sound like that, OCD can make us think things like that.

@Miss_OCD Of course, you are welcome. It makes me doubt people's intentions at times. There are times when my OCD is spiked that I apply what I have heard that people can do and I apply it to myself and think what if they're trying to do that to me and then I'd try to think that there's no real proof that they want to do that and even if there was what we think is proof may be blown out of proportion by OCD. I'd feel bad though if I think that way but I know it's not me thinking that way it's the OCD. I feel like the negative stories we hear about different circumstances or scenarios stay in our subconscious and the OCD uses it to sabotage us. Like if you heard a negative story at one point in your life you might remember that and the OCD might try to apply that to your situation.

Happens to me. When I have moments of “normal” the OCD comes in and asks me questions and doubts my feelings.
