Oh okay! I was just struggling with that too. Here’s what I did to get over it, I read a book where a main character realized she liked girls, I listen to “Girls Like Girls” and “I Kissed A Girl” three times a day, I go out of my way to interact with lesbians, I watch TV Shows featuring gay couples, watch coming out videos, and read gay blogs. Make a hierarchy of what would scare you most and what would scare you the least. Start from the bottom and work your way up. Think of it like a game with ever progressing levels and challenge yourself to get a little closer to the next level every day. You’ve got this! ERP has helped me with every theme I’ve had! :)

So I just listened to girls like girls and I kissed a girl. I felt very uncomfortable while I was listening to both and I watched the video for girls like girls and I actually got anxiety so I’m guessing I’m doing that right!! I think for a couple days I’ll do that and then up the amount of stuff I do.

Yeah! Give yourself a certain amount of times to listen to them. I listen to any gay song three times a day, for example. And then up it if you need to. In a few days, you’ll barely feel anxious anymore. Now I just dread it because it’s boring lol

Yeah, that’s normal! Also if you start to enjoy your thoughts or ERP on some level, that’s normal too. You’re just enjoying how easily you get through it now, not necessarily the thoughts or the exposure :)

Sorry to bother you again but after you did the Erp did the thoughts kind of chill out and you rarely think about them. Because after I did it there thoughts aren’t as crazy feeling??♀️

Erin I’ve seen you share this advice with many people now, I think it’s a sign I should follow it lol. I’ll come back and tell you how it’s going in a little. My anxiety is at the highest peak rn thinking of doing this in fear I’ll enjoy it bc I’ll feel so uncomfortable but I’m going to start :)))

I still have the thoughts, about all my OCD themes. Because even 9/10 non-OCD people have these thoughts. But they don’t bother me anymore and they show up a lot less often.

Ok because I after that erp it almost feels like the thoughts lessened idk if that makes since? Like they didn’t fully stop but they calmed down
