My ocd is harm and it’s one sentence “kill your daughter “ when ever it flares up that’s all it is it’s never ANYTHING ELSE just that for days hours. I’ve heard had any visions or any other obsession just that sentence can anyone relate
That’s the one that stays with you because it’s targeting the one thing you care about more than anything in the world 💕 I can relate. I’ve struggled with Harm OCD and POCD with my son, and it’s something I need to live with. Remember, having awareness of thoughts and bringing attention to them are very different concepts. The thought can be there and hang around, but you don’t have to give it attention. “Oh, hey there thought! Back again I see. I hear you…I’m going to continue on with my day. You can hang around if you’d like” or “Oh hey OCD! Thanks again for reminding me how much I care about my daughter.” 💕 sending love!

Hey girl! Mine does the same exact thing always the same phrase. How are you doing?
Sometimes it’s like that yeah, try changing the sentence by repeating a new sentence in front of the mirror. Like “I love my daughter” or “I’m a good person who would never harm anyone.” Remember it’s OCD and not a reflection of your true desires. Also know that stress can trigger OCD, so try finding a distraction and relax the best you can.

Thank you so much I just started therapy through the app wondering if it triggered it we upped my medication two weeks ago been doing great until today !! Also it’s the week before my period always find myself w my ocd worse and anxious more it’s just strange why mine never switches it’s always that ONE COMMAND.

@Norman12! Give it time…. It’ll morph… ocd is a chameleon…don’t know if that’s good or bad. Remember it’s not you but the same disease so many of us have. Each of us w our own version of life and nuances
@Norman12! I’ve had those feelings before. I’ve learned that it was because I wanted control. After accepting that I can’t control anyone, all I can do is influence others by my example. That’s when my life began.

No according to the nocd video OCD can 100% be in the form of commands.
what is the obsessive thought to “kill mom” around still. It was here for a month then went away for a few months. Now it’s back and feels like it’s not going away.
i’m back in a cycle of having harm related OCD thoughts and feelings and urges and i get these episodes where it’s like i’m disassociating and feel like i’m about to snap and go crazy violent. does anyone else experience this? i need help
Can harm ocd thoughts appear like “i want” or “im going to” someone please lmk if they experienced this 😣
