ROCD
Hello guys quick question, I’ve been in a relationship with my girlfriend now for 8 months coming up to 9. Last night and nights before I had dreams with like girls who aren’t her is that bad and does that mean anything I feel like if I didn’t have ocd I wouldn’t think twice about it. Like am i unfaithful and I can’t tell her and I just feel guilty.
Hey, first of all congrats on almost 9 months! OCD wants you to doubt, figure things out, and find meaning in everything. It's easy to fall into the trap of rumination when you try to find meaning in your intrusive thoughts, feelings or even dreams. The best thing to do is to NOT ruminate and confess, because this I a compulsion. I won't give you reassurance that your dream doesn't mean anything. No one can know with 100% certainty what their dreams mean. You'll have to accept that uncertainty. Tell yourself "maybe it means something, maybe not. OCD wants me to figure this out but I am not OCD and I chose to not engage with this thought."

Ocd wants you to doubt and wants to mess with things you care about but you aren’t your ocd it’s a chemical in your brain it’s not you it was just a dream and you know you wouldn’t do anything in your heart but your ocd knows you care about your gf so it wants to kinda like feed on that if that makes any sense but yeah as much as it may temporarily feel better try not to ruminate and it might feed the ocd

I have dreams about different men (some who I know, some who I don't know). It doesn't mean you're unfaithful or anything like that. Sometimes dreams are just dreams. You shouldn't feel guilty over something you can't control.
I just wanted to ask a quick question. I love my partner and have ocd but whenever I feel pretty or try to dress nice, an instant image pops in my head of another guy at work. This makes me feel like it’s proof I like that guy but I have no interest what so ever, I love and am obsessed with my partner. What is happening, and is this normal?
My ocd was about loyalty towards my gf every bad thought I had towards her had to tell her or felt guilty for thinking somsones better looking and have to tell her now I’m over that and in my next stage of ocd after help I feel overwhelming attraction towards girls I used to not be able to look at them for a year and now I feel bad and like I should be single if that’s how I feel
I am so happy with my girlfriend, but every time i see a good looking guy i start having thoughts about liking the guy and feeling guilty cause i am in a relationship and even if i would be cuddling with my girl, a random thought about a guy could ruin my mentality, it would make me feel like an impostor and i wanna know if this is normal, i know my ocd can make me question my SO, but i dont want it just to be denial, idk how to differentiate denial from my ocd.
