It's been a week since I started to see blood everytime I go to the bathroom. I told my mom, she says it's nothing and I'm exaggerating because I'm hypochondriac. I called my doctor he told me to do a specific visit because it's not normal at all, but I have no money and my mom doesn't want to help me. I'm scared it's a tumor.
hi, im so sorry you have to go through that. i don’t think it would necessarily mean a tumor because there are many other things it could be that are not as serious. explaining to your mom how you feel about it and how it’s affecting your mental and physical health by being worried about this and the health of yourself then maybe they will see the significance and they can help to pay the hospital bill. i understand what you mean by all they will do is run tests but if they found out what it was and could resolve the issue earlier, do you think that’s better? im not sure if this helps at all but please reach out if you need anything.
I already called my doctor and the only thing that can really show what's going on is the colonscopy but they don't do that when you go to the hospital! You have to pay or wait for months to not pay a lot of money...

@Anonymous Nope cause it's not something that you can see with blood tests unless it shows that you're anemic and it means you are bleeding A LOT. But it's not an accurate way of seeing this kind of problems. I can't even sleep, I'm obsessing since yesterday, it's almost 5 am here and I cannot stop obsessing over what it could be.
I even showed her the blood. I can't even go to the hospital because they will just run some blood test and it's useless in these cases.
Go to the hospital, they can’t turn you away
They did many times, they just run blood tests and send me home because I have to do specific visits by private doctors. I'm from Italy, the "public" service sucks.

Yes I do. I never felt so sure about something, but I have to pay and I have no money. Like I said the won't do anything in the hospital.
I'm no expert but if it is from your butt and a lot call a gastroenterologist could be hemroids or something like that if it vagina and your not menstruating call your general practitioner or your ongyn. But I wouldn't jump to tumor it could be something simple.
It's from my but, it's not a lot, but there is a lot of mucus and some blood. I have to do a colonoscopy but it's expensive😭
As someone that has to have a colonoscopy every 3 years due to stage 1 colon cancer. See if you can get a consult with a gastroenterologist (those appointments are roughly 300 to 700 but he would provide you with recommendations. Then when you meet with him see how much he charges and what place he does it and then call that place to see if they offer financial aid (most if not all hospitals do at least in the US). Then see if your gastrointestinal dr takes payment plans. It will most likely be 3 separate bills (the gastroenterologist to perform the procedure the hospital fee and the anesthesiologist fee).
Unfortunately I don't have money at all, I really don't know what to do. I called my doctor he told me to start with feces tests and then go see a private gastroenterologist (here in Italy it's 100 euro, not too much) but the colonscopy it's really expensive. It's the only thing that can clarify why I'm bleeding but I don't know how to pay for it. Can I ask you how old are you?
@dafne56 I am 38 I was diagnosed at 35. I am in remission. Maybe there are financial aid programs you can apply for. I am sorry you are going through this. If you haven't dropped a lot of weight and if your stools (other than the little bit of blood) are normal for you it could be a simple hemorrhoid problem.
@Michelle93084 I didn't drop any weight luckily (my doctor asked the same question) and nothing else changed, but still I'm really scared :(
@dafne56 It could also be diet. Like for me if I have coffee my movements change severely and at one point I thought it was the cancer back but once I stopped drinking coffee they went back to normal. I totally get the fear the what ifs especially around health are super scary and is even one of my OCD triggers.
Hi everyone. So recently I have been feeling so scared and paranoid of going crazy. I am terrified of i will go crazy and turn schizo. I’m so hyper aware of everything. My mind convinces me that I will end up like this but I really don’t want to.It’s my biggest fear and I think abt it almost everyday and I can’t handle it anymore. I just want to be ok. I have told my parents this and they say it’s all in my head and just laugh at me. I know it’s in my head but I physically feel sick to my stomach being constantly scared. Last year I used and app to talk about my POCD and people called me a pedo and told me to kill myself. It has been months and I had even forgotten about it, but I talked about my mom yesterday and I feel a sense of doom now. Like, I could have lived my life normally, but this happened. I feel overhelmed, and don't know exactly what to do, cuz when I stop to think about it, it is something awful, but I spend months just not caring, I don't know what to do, it was not even close to the worst thing that has ever happened to me, but it still feels terrible, it keeps echoing in my mind, and It won't go away, and yes I know it is OCD, I just want to let It go. And I lied somethings to my mom cuz if I told the whole truth she would be even more heartbroken (I just didn't say what app it was and I said it was recently, and not months ago) And I feel bad, but now I can't go back, but if I told her the whole truth, she would've just broke down. Basically she thinks it was yesterday and in another app, and I told her I just commented on something. But I feel so bad! I don't want to tell the truth to her, but also, I don't know...
