What about the urges? The urges feel so strong that my mind is telling me in order to feel relief from my thought is to act on my thoughts ….
@Anonymous hi, wondering if you ever found an answer for this or if it improved for you?
@blueberrybush3 No
It’s the anxiety for me, I only got the thoughts because of the anxiety, how do I get rid of that
It’s hard when the thoughts are so upsetting. I wanna know when I’ll be back to who I was around children. I am gentle and loving and harm ocd has ruined me.
@Shianne How long have you been dealing with it? And how are you feeling with ERP? Are u taking meds
@Anonymous 3 -4 months. I just started erp. I got off meds and feel better they were making it worse. I wasn’t even on them before I had this one intrusive thought and severe anxiety this year due to lots of life changes.. also never had ocd before and I’m 27..
@Shianne I know one reason for OCD to rest it’s ugly head is around transitions. I had HORRIBLE, debilitating ROCD. I was depressed, couldn’t eat, anxious AF. I found sheryl Paul, an ROCD specialist. Maybe Google her and read all she has to say about OCD. OCD attacks our character, values, morals and makes us doubt ourselves - it’s the doubting disease. That you’re suffering tells me already the thought content isn’t your truth. It’s OCD having a field day with you. Also check out Mark DeJesus on YouTube. He’s AMAZING!
@Shianne Hey, Shianne!! Would love to talk to you!!❤️❤️❤️
@Shianne Hi! Checking in on you how ya been doing
Thanks so much for this. I will check them both out. Wishing you all the best - hoping your doing well now!
@Shianne Thank you! I’m coming out of the worst OCD spiral I’ve ever been in. It’s an absolute living hell. I’m so so afraid to wake up in the morning, worried I’ll be back in the dark pit again. I hope not but I’m so afraid it will happen.
@October12 Are you doing erp with NOCD? How long have you been dealing with ur relapse hun
@Anonymous I just got an appointment setup for Monday with NOCD. I’ve been in this spiral for almost a month now.
How’s everyone doing I feel like I’m getting worse I know my thought isn’t real but my anxiety won’t go I wake up ruminating it’s automatic I can’t get out of bed it’s the same thoughts over and over again
@sazMar Same 😩😩😩
@October12 How is ur NOCD therapy sessions going? I know you said you had a set up
@Anonymous Tomorrow will be my fourth session I think. We haven’t gotten started on any ERP because I’m in such a bad state when we are in session. Depression has moved in really badly. I called my psych end of last week and adjusted my meds so I’m hoping I’ll have it together enough tomorrow to get somewhere.
I feel like I’ve tried everything to get better but I feel anxious every second of every day which feels like my brain is saying “see you feel anxious/guilty your thoughts must be true” I just can’t see an end to it
