Seems like you’re seeking reassurance here. Some people probably have this. And some probably don’t. It’s best to feed those gnawing questions with uncertainty. I’d recommend reading some books on OCD. I think it could help you stop seeking confirmation of each symptom.

Hi, you are not alone. Myself and plenty others i know deal with OCD and anxiety similarly. I felt all alone when i finally found one of my closest friends with severe anxiety and OCD. Always know that those crazy thoughts seeping in your head are all fake. You must over come them and allow your self to break through. Although it may feel impossible at times but just know, you are not a lone.

@modernfemale I don’t think I said anything here that could be construed as harsh. I provided the response that one is supposed to when faced with the endless questions OCD creates: uncertainty. This person posted multiple times in the day with similar questions (wanting to be reassured that their behavior was in fact OCD and that others had the same symptoms.) I’d replied to those too with more detailed responses but at a certain point you have to stop going into the content of the thoughts and just feed uncertainty. That said, you’re welcome to add your own response in whatever fashion you’d like. But I see no reason to criticize me for responding as he should to the question.

It seems that explaining things to you has indeed proven a wasted effort but hopefully others viewing this can take something away from it.
