May not be helpful and a bit ignorant but, I’m 27 years old and although I don’t fear literal death I do fear that my life is over and I have little time to figure out what it is I need to do in order to get the ball rolling for me. I applaud you for not only taking good care of yourself but for showing others like me that there’s life after a certain age and that one should never stop caring for their body no matter how old! You to me sound youthful and by the sounds of it you are far from death. My father always says to take it one day at a time and as cheesy as that sounds we must! I am sorry you went through such a traumatic experience and I am sorry for your loss. I thank you for sharing and making me feel a bit at ease about getting older. I hope you find some peace soon and again I apologize if my comment is ignorant and insensitive to your situation.

Hi!!! Thanks so much for taking the time to respond to me!!!! This is gonna sound weird but I feel like you are me when I was 27…. I can relate to everything you said! It’s like I went back to 1986…. And write myself this very response! I am so glad I was able to give you hope!!! It’s gonna be an amazing ride so embrace the uncertainty because it really does come together…unexpectedly and purposefully all at once! The best is yet to come 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

I’m 67 and have the same feel and always have, as long as I can remember. I obsess when something is wrong with me and go to the extreme. I worry to the point of getting sick if my single daughter doesn’t answer the phone immediately. I just joined NOCD last week and have my first session tomorrow. No matter how much time we have left it’s an awful way to “live” I also experienced a difficult childhood

Hi vgb! Do you have a faith tradition to give you peace when it comes to death? That is what gives me peace, I am a Christian. My grandpa explained to me that as Christian’s, our bodies die but our souls go in to be with Jesus immediately. That was never explained to me like that and I felt great peace. He is not with us anymore but I am happy to know he is with Jesus and at peace. I believe any background or faith tradition can get peace from Jesus about the afterlife. When he hung on the cross next to the man who did not yet know jesus saving power, he said to jesus, “remember me when you go into your kingdom” asking to be with jesus I. Heaven. Ask him for the assurance! And if this doesn’t resonate with you that’s okay, traumas and all sorts of bad church experiences can harm our. View of god and religion. But I pray from a pure spot that human to human your innocent faith would have an open heart to hear, I love you and I will take care of you-now and forever.-jesus. Ps your title is awesome haha
