My yellow lab of 14 years passed away last night at midnight. It was she and I. I am completely heartbroken and feel that feeling of I don’t know how to live without you. Why does OCD decide to join the party now?? 🙄🙄 Pic of my beautiful Savannah girl. 💔
Sorry for your loss. Personally I know losing a pet is one of the toughest things you will ever go through, but you will get through it with time. Always keep the memories of her near to you. If you need anyone feel free to reach out🫶🏻
I'm so sorry. There is no pain like losing your fur baby. They are such faithful friends and completely ingrained into your daily life, habits and schedule. They leave a gaping hole in our hearts and life feels so different without them. It will get easier. We lost one of our dogs too this month and the stress/grief triggered my son's OCD. We are all slowly healing and so is he. We know stress triggers OCD but we also have strategies to push back at it. Hold on to those sweet memories of your dog and try focusing on the gratitude you have for how much love your dog gave you and the time and experiences you shared together. That has helped us a lot.

Your girl was beautiful and looks so happy 💜 My heart is so heavy for you, as I’m going through the exact same situation. My 14 year old lab passed away last week. My OCD has tried to creep in but I’m challenging it - almost like ‘don’t mess with me today’ . Sometimes I’m successful & sometimes it’s harder to deal with. The pain and stress of losing a pet is unimaginable and this can allow the negative thoughts to creep in. Please allow yourself some grace while you are taking time to heal. Thinking of you ❤️
