How can you allow it when it gives you boner down there the groinal response is strong
Groinal responses don't always = sexual arousal. Idk if you were a kid who got one when he was called on in class? Not sexual but fueled by embarrassment and nervousness. I use to get one when I yawned or stretched too long. Can't really control where I yawn. My guess is to allow the thoughts and not assign that meaning to the response either since our bodies kinda just do their thing sometimes.
@Will86 How can you allow something your not comfortable with?
@Will86 Come to think of it I can remember back when when I get groinal from words that fear me or from seeing things, ocd just made me forget all about that part and made me focus on this 🤦♂️
@tuchi Things happen all the time we are not comfortable with and they're out of our control. One being our thoughts... we cant control them but we can make the choice not to allow them to run our lives (control our reactions) As the meme says the more you try to stop them the more present they become and our brains go *ahhh we think this is a threat/truth...panick!* We can control our response and change our brains making them a big deal ans that breaks the cycle of them forcing them to the front of it minds all the time.
@Will86 Tbh since my soocd started last year, there is no day that passes by I don’t question my sexuality, I was leaving a normal life before I got a wired dream. I have suffered a lot from it and also I have learned a lot from it to help people. I have faced the urges, false feelings and attraction, false memories, ruminating, compulsion, I do compulsion when I sleep sounds crazy right? But the worst of it all is the groinal response, I’m scared to get a boner down their for a same gender. Sometimes I put thoughts in my head and it backfires on me with a groinal. It’s really crazy 
@tuchi I understand and this condition isn't logical but I can say assigning meaning is a brain thing. As I said down there 👇🏻 don't always agree with up here 🧠. I have somatic ocd. I would think it would be treated the same. We don't try to over analyze our bodies reactions. Acknowledge that it's there and go about our day.
@Will86 Thanks a lot you really made my day, honestly been fighting my demons all day everyday since last year, it’s not easy things I do or think just to know my true sexuality is really funny, I use to get anxiety when ever I get intrusive thoughts or feelings even images but I don’t get that anymore the urges and feelings so real and hard to control. I just wish this will be over
@Will86 sorry if I’m wasting your time, There’s something else I noticed last 2 week I had an issue with my girlfriend and I felt heart broken. And I missed her. I noticed that I didn’t focus on my soocd tbh I forgot all about it , all I focused on was to get my girl back. I wasn’t checking to see if I got a groinal I didn’t get any intrusive thoughts or images. Immediately I settled things with my girlfriend, everything came back 😕 it was so crazy and confusing
@tuchi Ocd likes to intensify when we allow ourselves time to slow down or when life isn't running around throwing distractions; nights, weekends, holidays, etc. That's not telling you to not slow down. You still need to destress and relax. If you're not in ERP I do recommend it. It's been a life changer. If you're in ERP keep practicing. Things get better. Glad to hear you and your gf made up btw.
