Fluvoxomine

Does anyone here take fluvoxomine ? Seemed like everything was going good at first but now after 5 months, I’m having trouble staying awake, having chest pains every day with dizzy spells. Just an overall feeling of being in a daze all day long. Like I have 0 energy what so ever, I also work outside so I was thinking maybe it’s a mixture of the medicine with the heat. I’m not sure, anyone else experience or have any advice, it’s the first time I’ve ever been on any mental health medicine so I’m new to all this

I took it a few years ago and am starting again. Never experienced the chest pain or dizziness you should def tell your doctor about that… there are for sure other SSRI options if that isn’t working for you

Hi, I’m currently taking fluvoxamine. I’ve been on it a while actually. At first I noticed it did improve my intrusive thoughts. But that only lasted for a short period of time and that was on the smallest dosage too. After increasing the dosage more and more I didn’t really notice any differences in my intrusive thoughts at all. The only side effects i noticed was maybe that i was more tired throughout the day but idk if that was because of the medicine or school. I finally increased it to 125 twice a day which is almost to the max dosage and i finally saw results and a decrease in intrusive thoughts. That’s just my experience. It’s also the first OCD medication I’m taking as well. I hope that you figure out what’s going on with your symptoms and get it all sorted. Wishing you the best <33

your body most likely is having a reaction to the meds. talk to your doctor and tell them about the side effects you’re experiencing. i’m on fluvoxamine it’s my 5th SSRI and i’m on 150mg. I get chest pains but from anxiety and the dizziness comes from both the medication (rare) and the anxiety (more common). Depending on your side effects, they might tell you that they aren’t severe enough to switch but if you do not feel like dealing with them or feel like you need to get off them, don’t hesitate to demand a change.

I'm on Luvox and I am definitely sleepier. I also get headaches.

Medication - OCD

Hey everyone. I have suicidal ocd. About 6 weeks ago I started on medication (citalopram) for my ocd. I had rough up and downs for the first week weeks, then about 2-3 great weeks, and now I don’t know what’s going on. I feel as if I’m thinking constantly but my anxiety response is gone. For suicidal ocd, it’s scary because I based the fact it was OCD off how much anxiety I’ve gotten. Now I’m really concerned with myself over all the thoughts. Any advice? Anyone have ups and downs with meds? Any kind words are appreciated

I am strong. But today is hard

Hi friends. I like to think that most days I am in the drivers seat of my ocd, I’ve came a long way with ERP and medication. However, today has been a rough day. My ocd and anxiety both seem to be kicking back in lately. I’ve been dealing with a waxing and waning symptom flare for about a year now. I have never switched my medication. I’ve only went up in dosage, I am now on the maximum dose of my SSRI. (200mg Zoloft) and I’ll say that for the past year it has not packed the punch as it used to. It worked really well for the first 4 years. I did have to titrate up in dosage over that time. I am still functioning, in school, sleeping and working so that says a lot. However, it’s still hard and getting in the way of living life at my fullest potential. (So much time spent thinking about things that don’t even pertain to my life) I have been better than this. OCD and anxiety used to be maybe a once a month occurrence for me. Now it is half the month. Does anyone have any experience with their medication pooping out on them and not working as well? Or having to change from one medication to another? All your advice would be helpful. Thank you!

Newbie

Hello everyone I was recently diagnosed with OCD. I’ve spent the last ten years battle extreme anxiety and obsessive thoughts. I recently started taking Prozac. For once in my life my mind feels calm. However, they just upped my dose and my anxiety is bad and I’m having trouble sleeping this is week 2 on the medication. Anyone else experienced this?
