Anyone have with bad sweating on antidepressants?

[I take 10mg Lexapro] I have a reaccuring issue and I’m trying to determine as to whether it’s caused by my meds. Everyday, I constantly sweat. The only time that I am not sweating is when I am in front of a fan (which I now have on whenever I’m sat at home) I don’t mean a little bit of underarm sweat, I mean to the point my T-shirt is dripping, by back is coated and even my legs. It’s so embarrassing because I can’t explain to anyone why I have drips of sweat coming off of me and I’m constantly wiping myself down and spraying because I’m scared of smelling. Is this caused by meds? Or possibly a different issue?

@Anoniem I plan on doing this, I just wasn’t sure how to explain how much I sweat without being able to show them? I’m afraid they will say ‘it is normal for a 17 year old to sweat often’

Some heart problems can make you sweat in my case when I lost a lot of weight, I got so weak as I wasn't eating any sugars, salt or fat, my heart was about to give up. But try to talk to a doctor and don't worry or feel ashamed about it, it won't last forever km quite sure it's a temporary side effect

Super common side effect… especially the night sweats lol. Next time you see your doc or psychiatrist if you have one just let them know. More than likely the meds.

Starting new anxiety meds

Hi everyone, I’m 23 and have been on Zoloft since I was 16. For the past couple months I’ve been having panic attacks more and I’m sick of feeling like a zombie everyday. My boyfriend said I’m very sad and unhappy then when I first met him 2 years ago…. He thinks it’s the medicine. Throughout the years I have upped and lowered my medication, but now, I feel as though it’s not helping. Either it was too much where I didn’t feel emotions at all like very scary stuff or it wasn’t enough to help me. I was given 5mg of Lexapro to try…. I’m scared to take it. All I know is how Zoloft is. I don’t want to go crazy on it, be allergic to it, etc. I feel like I’m going to trip myself out when I take it and not actually feel the difference. I could really use some positive feedback I really just want to be a normal human😭

Weight loss after SSRI?

I know this isn’t directly ocd related but I feel like it’s got to be a shared experience between a lot of us. When I ask in fitness groups no one seems to have anything to offer. Anywhooo I started celexa in October I believe? In January I started going hard in the gym and tracking my macros to a tee. In the past I have done this and got really fit and muscular. This time around the progress has been going at a snails pace. I almost feel like progress has even haulted and hasn’t even been that long. Anyway I really think I have a good amount of knowledge on this stuff and mostly want to know if anyone has had this experience after taking celexa? I can’t think of another factor that it could be. I would almost like to get off of it because of it. I hate to sound vain but with the extra weight I feel depressed and uncomfortable. I’m putting in soooo much work and seeing the results but like I said it’s going ridiculously slow. Any advice for this kind of thing? Thank you :)

Sertraline Side-effects

Today marks my third day on 150 mg of Sertraline, and I've been noticing some symptoms or issues that could be related? I'm wondering if anyone else deals or has dealt with something similar? I've been having really vivid dreams and nightmares, and when I wake up from them, I'm DRENCHED in sweat. Like absolutely soaked. But besides that, I'm extremely anxious. Even the dreams I can't remember leave me feeling off, and then I spiral wondering what they were about. Then there's not being able to cry? I'm not incapable of feeling emotion, but the tears feel trapped, and I just get nauseous if anything. There's been a couple of times where I've been able to cry, but it's like on and off 😭 Oh, and the last thing is constantly feeling hot? Like my face will feel flushed, but the rest of my body is a normal temperature. It's weird🧍‍♀️
