I once heard from a fellow psychology major that people with OCD get songs stuck in their heads easier than others. I know this is definitely true for me because I have a song in my head probably 90% of the time (no exaggeration). Does anyone feel this way? I’m interested to know.
I wake up nearly everyday with songs stuck in my head. It’s so annoying
Yes I defo get this. Sometimes I get small fragments of two or more songs get stuck and they blend together in my head. Sometimes I’ll have a lyric line stuck in my head for so long that I’ll think that I came up with it, then realise it’s from a song I like
Yes it is true. I even learned foreign languages by this method, because unknown words get stucked in my head and then what was only left was translate them. But I remembered words and melody. But I have musical talent. But I think OCD can br connected somehow to openess to new information stimuli in my case. I can get contaminated by energy of other people, their sentences and emotions. Also with positive and negative. I am also a great learner I learn super fast. I also can imagine very good things and have vivid imagination. I wrote fantasy stories. Also I can connect to energy of love and compassion more easily / to God...but I am more then vulnerable to bad energies and intrusions also... its kind of hypersensitivity in my case
I can also make great connection between ideas and concepts. ... I think many things I consider by my strong abilities - vivid imagination, input of information from outside of ego, connectivness of information and creativity ...really makes sometimes OCD harder :( ... but therapy works in every way ... and nowdays I havs my imagination more free to create and write and not suffer :D

So with my theme of ocd, ( hocd ) I get persistent intrusive images, and thoughts. It’s not like one or two a day. Like if I’m out for the whole day they’re constant. I feel I can’t even look at a girl now without her intrusive thoughts about her or about me fancying her and even sexual intrusive thoughts.. It’s awful. It’s everywhere I look. Is this common with ocd with any themes? Like is it constant for you guys too?
Hoping someone can answer this question 🙏 I have social anxiety so when I go out crowded places I have thoughts more like I feel people would be judging me etc but these thoughts don’t bother me so much & there not usually loud like my suicidal intrusive thoughts are. Now the only thing that concerns me is why are my s thoughts so loud and the most convincing when I could have a thought about anything else and I just forget it and move on? But with my s thoughts I get stuck on them and try to figure out what they mean , Is this a sign of OCD?
Hello everyone. I often get the feeling that I will go crazy or in a state of permanent suffering. The thought is very persistent and I think is OCD repeating that disturbing thought. If anyone feels the same way. What do you do about it?
