I had the same thing and it got worse recently when someone in the extended family died. I have always had this fear. But what helped me get through it was doing ERP on it and learning acceptance through Meditation that you dont have to control anything in life and life is so much more beautiful when you accept it for what it is. Ironically the fear of death would actually precent you from living. An ERP exercise could be walking near a cemetary or something of that nature. As for learning acceptance, download a Meditation app called "aware". Learn to disregard thoughts by the second, then by the minute, then by the hour and so on. You can do this.

Thank you for the input! You are right.. the fear of death does stop me from living and the people around me. I’m really starting to try and nip it before it goes too far. This fear of death started when I lost two of my very close aunts, and cat in 2015 and then my father in 2016. Lost of deaths in two years. I went numb to it until mid 2017 and it’s like all my emotions came flushing out. My OCD is always hopping around from one fear to another. Meaning I’ll concur one thing and then it turns into something else. Right now it’s storms. Your comment really did help. Thanks for the reply and I’ll check out this app.

I am so sorry for your los and I cant imagine what you are going through. You are Strong and you are welcome too! Remember, it's always the storm before the calm so just keep pushing forward. Have the attitude that you can do it and tell Your OCD to "bring it on" so to speak. All the best!

Thank you! I did well most of the day and toward the end I couldn’t take it anymore and left the house to the mall where I can’t hear the storms. Slowly but surely... I’ll get there ?
