Freaking out rn bc I took a Narcisst test on google, and it said severe…it mostly asked like cocky questions. I’m scared bc I don’t want to be one. I try to help others and always be there for them and now I have the worst anxiety about this. I have crippling anxiety rn this sucks 😭
Don’t do those tests again; they are not real nor accurate and you were seeking reassurance which just made the situation worse. If you’re seeing an ERP specialist I highly suggest you talk to them about this.

Just be the best version of yourself, I feel you already do that . I have had positive communication with you in the past. No one is perfect. Spouses often throw everything into an argument including the kitchen sink , LOL ! I will say a prayer 🙏 ✝️ for you . I have been called a narcissist at times , just try to take with a large “grain of salt .“
@777Q Idk if I’m in a unhealthy marriage or what but my wife’s thinks I really am, I don’t know if she says it bc she knows it bothers me but the anxiety I have had all day sucks. I really hope I’m not.
@Kids4Christ Marriages are extremely challenging at times . I have been married to the same woman for many years with many ups and downs along the way .
Do you really thing quizzes on Google are that reliable? Maybe some are, and some aren’t, I recommend using ERP around your fear. Use “non engagement responses” (look them up) to respond to the rumination around this.
I am finding even this many years in the iceberg syndrome is very important theory . Meaning this is the argument right in front of you representing 10% of the iceberg, that is what is immediately in view right in front of you . With that said it is the 90% that you don’t see the rest of it that is under the surface that contributes greatly to the current disagreement, that is the unresolved issues of the past . Here is an example my wife just recently said to me by the way you were late getting to the church ⛪️ for when we got married, she said she thought I left her at the altar. She just said this now , keep in mind we got married in the 1990s , LOL !
I’ve actually been out of therapy for almost a year and have been doing great. But me and my wife got into an argument and she tries to tear me down and say stuff like that when we’re arguing bc she knows I worry about mental illness bc that’s just what my OCD latches onto. But the feeling I have right now I haven’t had in a long time. Narcisst sound like heartless people and I never want to be like one or be called one. Any advice?
Very worried right now that I’m a narcissist! I fear that I only do good things for self gain / because I feel like I HAVE to. And that I don’t actually care about anyone or anything other than myself. Ugh!
i’m freaking out so much. i’ve been reading a lot about vulnerable / covert narcissism and i literally want to cry. these type of narcissists are introverted and sensitive and i am too. they’re also full of shame and i am too. and they want to be acknowledged which i do too. i feel so down when i’m left out. they also feel a lot of envy like me. i feel sick. i always thought not wanting to be the centre of attention made me LESS of a potential narcissist, but this new subtype of it has sent me spiralling so much. do these traits mean i’m a covert narcissist?!!! i’m so scared. i don’t think i’m entitled or super important... i just want to be enough and feel like i’m enough. i didn’t think that was narcissistic til reading all this stuff today. i’m generally a helper and try to be there for people to meet their needs. so i guess i just want people to look out for me aswell. but i read that these type of narcissists are like that too. i’m so upset rn, i don’t know what to do!!
freaking out a bit. i just read about how narcissists really really idealise partners and then a few weeks in they see that person’s flaws and get turned off. and i literally do that. i don’t know why but i just get easily turned off guys because i fall for the idea of them. also, i’ve realised i don’t feel that close with my friends and maybe i don’t even love them. i know i love my family, so i don’t think i’m a narcissist. but why don’t i love my friends?? and i read narcissists always blame the other person (‘oh i just haven’t found my people yet!’ ‘oh, he’s just not the one for me’) and i guess i do that too. i try to be hopeful that the right people will come along. these two things have been making me so anxious though. it feels like proper proof that i can’t ignore!!!!
