@Ella_ Rose Yeah! I'm just beginning my day here. I battle with real event OCD intrusive thoughts daily, but it's manageable with the ERP tools I've learned. Where are you located in this big world?

@Someone99 Ah i can tell how difficult it gets at times but I'm glad to see ERP has been helping you, stay srong huh we got this together! Tbh I'm still a bit confused with the ERP thingy ... I mean I've read that you write it all down in ERP.. but I already do that as I journal alot ... idk tho what it actually means Oh I live on the other side of this world then, cuz here it's evening 🌆 Good luck with your day!🍀

@Ella_ Rose Thanks! So nice to be chatting with you from the other side of the world!!! ☺️ For me, I've had good results in ERP therapy a few different ways, writing it out helps at times, talking it out with my therapist, and also visual triggers and actual locations, etc. Is Ella Rose your first and middle name? That just sounds so pretty together. :-)

@Someone99 Ahaha it feels good to know! I'm glad ERP therapy is working out for you, hope things get better soon! Oh for me I can just write it down- even then at times it gets difficult for me- talking it out, idk it's maybe not for me ... Oh actually my first name's Elena, in short I prefer Ella hehe Ah well thanks tho : )

@Ella_ Rose I saw your post, sounded like you're having a rough time at the moment. Hoping you'll sleep well for the short time you can sleep.

@Someone99 I actually did sleep well and I'm doing much better today How've you been doing, Mike? is that your actual name?

@Ella_ Rose Yes it is:-) Glad you're doing better today. I'm ok, still battling intrusive thoughts and fighting off mental compulsions every day, but at least I'm able to sleep mostly through the night. It was so bad I would be awake from midnight to 4am almost every night because of ruminating. Mental compulsions are the worst

@Ella_ Rose So Elena, how do you occupy your day, are you a student, or do you work?

@Someone99 I can relate, Mike I've been dealing with somewhat the same but I'm glad you've been sleeping well these days Praying for you✝️

@Someone99 Oh I work actually tho I still need to get myself in uni ahaha but that's on hold for now until I can get my mental health in check Things have been going well since I got myself a job cuz yk this way I get less time to ruminate... otherwise I'd be up for hours It's tough tho to manage it all like job plus family and friends but I'm trying my best to find a balance What about you, Mike? Are you a student?

@Ella_ Rose That's good! Work is a good thing to keep us active and productive. As long as we don't over do it. Do you like your job? I'm ok. Seem fairly steady mentally with the OCD stuff. Just aching to connect with people who may actually understand me. Family and friends don't seem to. Maybe that's a compulsion too? Ugh. Lol. Thanks for writing me back! 🙂

@Someone99 Yeah work surely keeps our busy mind mov'in ahahah I'm glad you've been doing alright as well! Oh my work stresses me out at times cuz my work requires to be flexible and accept mistakes but I'm a bit-well a lot of a control freak eh :/ Well, if you're talking about connecting with people then I gotta say I'm on the same page as you Idk tho.. maybe it might be a compulsion but then again, finding people who understand you isn't bad at all.

@Ella_ Rose I think it's just normal to want to have people in our lives to connect with. Not good being alone. I started a new job in June, lost my job because of OCD. I'm really finding my place there. I actually worked there before the job I lost, they took me back without question, and it's beginning to be better than before. Btw, control freak must be part of the OCD mess...me too. And I'd always be here, even connecting like this is good. It's like, so many people here post about feeling alone and isolated, and I get that it's not the same as in person, but message me, please! I love to share, and always hope to encourage anyone, gives purpose to this journey. :-)

No need to apologize! Thank you for being here when you can! I also saw your recent post about the PTSD. So sorry! Is it about ruminating over the past events? That's brutal for me. Sending you virtual hugs! 🫂
