Random fun question

what is everyone’s favorite song, genre, or artist and why? mine is bad bunny because of so so so many reasons but to keep it short 1. his pride in being puerto rican, as a dominican girl its refreshing to see a Caribbean latino not only get so big, but do so while fully embracing his culture. many of us caribbean hispanics dim our accents and cultures to be accepted so its nice, 2. his openness toward bending gender norms, 3. obviously his music, he is genuinely good. the amount of references in his songs are amazing, 4. hes a cutie

I adore music, I always love when people share why certain artists are their faves. I agree it's really cool to see a person of color artist in the mainstream (im not latino but im black so like I get representation matters!!) Im big on emo and pop-punk, other alt bands like that. A fave artist of mine is Yungblud because he's helped me feel a lot less alone when it comes to my mental health and insecurities, be more comfortable with gender expression and he helped me learned its okay to be not normal. Like embrace it xD haha

I don't know if I can pick a favourite song. Iron sky - Paulo nutini. Map of the problematique - muse. There's no way out of here - David gilmour. No idea why I like them, they just got me through different times in my life

I just love Gilmour. Pink Floyd rock. And since I seem to be the only one who knows your artists, I guess I must be as old as a rock. 😂😊 I also love Dire Straights, Deep Purple, Rolling Stones, CCR, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin (soft stuff, their rock ballads), Bob Seger, Gary Moore, Green Day, .... There are so many more. Good old stuff. 😊.

@NODA My dad actually was in a warm up band for pink Floyd at one of their gigs. He's got loads of stories but I love that one

@Invalid Wow! What a lucky guy. And a good musician as well if they warmed up for Pink Floyd. Legends. It would be cool to listen to your dad's stories. They were giants. An amazing band. They are still great, each on his own. We'll, Syd Barrett and Rich Wright have died, but D.Gilmour and Waters are still going strong. Sadly not as friends. Such good times! I am trying really hard to understand today's popular music, I really do, but it just doesn't have it for me. Like Bob Seger says in one of his songs: Call me a relic, call me what you will Say I'm old-fashioned, say I'm over the hill Today's music ain't got the same soul I like that old time rock and roll. 🤣😁. To each their own. I respect people like Kelly Clarkson, Jon Legend, Taylor Swift,... but I just can't listen to them more than 2/3 of a song. I love some rock country songs as well, like Reba' s Fancy,... I love some blues. It makes me happy. 😊 And I appreciate classical music as well. But my heart and soul long for good old rock. 😎😊

Happy but vulnerable moment haha

So I get happy meals if I’m not too hungry or if I’m curious what the new toys going to be ( they’re never good ) they’re not what they used to be …. You used to get actual mini game toys … but today I got 2 little key chain toys from pet simulator… looks like a duck and a bear ? Or a squirrel… I’m easy to please ..: what’s your favorite thing or toy whatever you’ve got as an adult from somewhere? No judgement here

Random OCD?? Anyone else get this?

I love horror movies and would watch them random sometimes even Terrifier cause art is my new favorite character. I just felt like I was a bad person for this⁉️ I don’t support his actions but I like his goofy faces he makes. I can’t enjoy anything no more Literally me rn in life

ocd + interests + online discussions

i’ve been having this theme pop up recently where if I see people either criticize or be a hater and spread misinformation or seeing old controversies about my current interests/hyper-fixations i find myself having a crazy anxiety attack about if it’s “morally okay” to be interested in my interests anymore. i feel really singled out and like im doing something wrong because im watching a youtuber or listening to a specific musical group. in all of these specific situations the people involved have talked about the situations and have changed accordingly but seeing it makes me feel like i shouldn’t be allowed to like my favorite things. to be clear none of these things are dramatically evil or bad. it’s either misinformation/uneducated people influencing someone opinion and then they learn and change. it just makes me feel like im not allowed to like my favorite things anymore because of people criticizing it??? if that makes sense??? also this is a little off topic but also not really because i’m 99.99% sure im autistic because of MANY things but with this specifically i have very strong interests and i feel very deep feelings about them and any and all criticism or hateful comments towards my favorite things trigger me deeply and make my ocd act up and make me feel uncomfortable and uncertain and anxious and it causes physical discomfort to me. i really don’t know how to calm myself down about this specific theme it’s brand new and makes me feel really anxious. not trying to look for reassurance but does anyone else understand what i mean??? does anyone have any advice on how to not give into the negative comments??? any suggestions on how to ease this specific anxiety???
