I’m currently on 50mg and I’m starting 100mg tomorrow and I was just wondering do I get any side affects when getting used to the 100mg dose like feeling dizzy how I was when I first started taking the medication? Just wants a heads up
I have found that I sometimes get side effects again when I increase my medication, but they’re not usually as strong as when I first start the medicine, and they go away more quickly, in my experience

Here in Brasil we don't have any medications for OCD treatment. I know it is not right, but I really would like to know what is your medication so I can talk to my psyciatrist, if you coul tell. But if not, it's ok :)
@Laura Migliorini Oh that seems hard and not right but I’m on sertraline or another word for it is Zoloft so I don’t know what one it would be for you but it definitely helps to calm down everything
@Anxious⛈️ 🎀 Oh I "am" on seryraline too, but it did nothing for me. ALL anti depressants I ever took the last 10 years did nothing. My doctor said I'm non respondive tô medication. Even a experimental trial whith ketamine I tryied last year and also nothing. It is so frustrating and my hope is really fading away.

oi laura! também sou do brasil e tenho toc! não sabia que por aqui não tem medicamento especifico pra isso :( estou na sertralina, mas comecei apenas tem 10 dias
@lindemann Eita! Eu tentei a sertralina mas nem na depressão ajudou. Faço tudo pelo SUS, mas parece que os médicos não sabem de nada e só receitam aquilo que o governo fornece. Tentei um medicamento chamado Revoc que é caríssimo e diz ter ação no TOC, mas tudo que me deu foi enjôo e não conseguia dormir sem ser praticamente sentada.... Além de caro não me ajudou, e sempre tento os medicamentos por meses pra saber bem :(
@Laura Migliorini eu já tentei esse revoc também, mas eu era mais novo e não tinha muita responsabilidade pra ficar tomando todo dia kkkkkk então não sei como seria a reação positiva. tive enjôo também. a sertralina até agora não fez nada pra mim, mas meu psiquiatra diz que começa nos 20 dias. duvido um pouco que a pequena dosagem faça algo. mas enfim, instalei esse aplicativo ontem e me sinto melhor um pouquinho de saber que não sou o único com pensamentos intrusivos no mundo! espero que você consiga sua paz 🤍
@lindemann TB instalei ontem, e tô aqui só lendo e recebendo feedbacks depois de uma crise horrível ontem a noite, já estou amando só por me sentir menos sozinha e poder falar abertamente com quem vai entender!

Hello Has anyone started medication? Currently on 5mg Lexapro. I started Monday night then switched to mornings, skipping Tuesday and restarting yesterday. Tuesday was a really bad day with the depression/tiredness and intrusive thoughts, I didn't think they were going to stop. I didn't wanna get out of bed yesterday but side effects got a little better. Still feeling a little anxious/no motivation today... I originally started meds for anxiety and the intrusive thoughts weren't bad before starting meds (they were manageable).. Do meds make everything worse at first?
Starting Prozac Tommorow morning, and I’m terrified that I’m going to get bad side effects, I’ve seen some really scary articles about them, and it’s causing me a good amount of worry, anyone on Prozac or know anything about it? I’m really hoping it works in helping my ocd, I’ve been on Zoloft before and I don’t really remember and side effects but I do remember getting nausea so I switched to Prozac after a years break and ocd coming back harder.
My psych just upped my Prozac about a week ago… having some wild side effects. I responded to it really well at a lower dose, so I’m hopeful it will get better! Have any of yall experienced side effects like increased intrusive thoughts, but less emotional responses? General muscle weakness and just feeling bleh? How long did that last for you?
