I m no supposed to complaint but I m so sick of this health ocd omg I overcome one obsession and the next one coming in fast and I m getting caught arguing with the thoughts then I have to stop new obsession is what if I get stomach cancer because I get a lot acid reflux due to the anxiety and a lot stabbing pain in my chest

@Bigotina Yes exactly me too like I m getting to that point if happen it happen is so annoying any sensation is a emergency according to my ocd I don’t know how to move on from this literally recovered from a lot theme but can’t from the health one because deep inside my brain know that those things can really happen or maybe not but there’s a small chance :/

@Bigotina Yes so exhausting I m definitely having those days my brain always thinking the worse case scenario about my health is so bad again every day I think I will get a heart attack like waiting for it and got a lot heart test done even my echocardiogram said it was all clear and heart working perfectly but ocd don’t understand logic is crazy lol that’s good You have your selection
@Bigotina Agree I keep getting this thoughts all about my health like I don’t even want to have them they just keep coming to my brain and make me scared I been sitting with the anxiety and letting them pass but sometimes I get annoyed and just want them to go away but that’s not how it work for ocd I must accept this thoughts and move on but I can’t accept them without they making me feel so anxious I wish they came without anxiety but they come with high anxiety as soon as they entered my minds or is me causing the anxiety on them ?

hello. i have been going through health scare obsessions for at least 5 years now and it terrifies me. i mainly fear of cancer. i have no reason to fear of cancer because it is not a predominant condition in my family. i have been to check ups for skin cancer and been told it was nothing which relieves me for a short period of time but then i start thinking of other cancer possibilities :( it doesn’t help that im a smoker to deal with the stress of adhd and ocd which just fuels the obsession of lung cancer. i know it would help my fear to stop smoking but thats easier said than done. i have only been a smoker for 3 years and its the only thing that helps right now. on top of this, my brain makes me believe that every intrusive thought i have WILL MANIFEST into existence just from thinking about it! this has scared me so much in the last 5 years and once i told my mum about it and she said "if you ever got cancer we would deal with it, its okay" but that didnt help it just made it worse and the possibility become more scarier! please help me.
Hello, I just wanna put my thoughts onto something to hopefully release them. I have health ocd/anxiety which comes with googling and overthinking. Lately, I’ve been have stomach issues and acid reflux on new SSRI medication and convince myself I have SIBO or a weird disease. I then I looked into gastric diseases then freak myself out more for days on end. I’m am trying to use the ERP and saying “Mabye I do mabye I don’t”; but I always end up doing stuff to make it worse. If I have any advice don’t google, I should take my own advice😂. I have a few appointments to make sure nothings wrong which I know logically nothings wrong but for some reason I still think something is really wrong. (If you have similar stuff DONT look it up, it’ll just say the worst thing, ignorance is bliss 😭😂) Not expecting a response, just wanted to “release” my thoughts. Hopefully I help someone who is going the same thing. Anyways hope everyone is doing good and making progress in their life. :)
I went from intrusive thoughts of hurting people, thinking I did horrible things and not remembering it like running people over with my car etc, to my brain trying to convince me I that I had split personality disorder to now health anxiety. The intrusive thoughts weren’t as bad as this. I’ll get physical symptoms like my heart racing, chest pain, can’t swallow. It’s been causing panic attacks but I’m constantly scared I’m dying. If my mole looks like it changed I freak out and think I have cancer. I had to get a stethoscope to listen to my heartbeat to make sure I don’t have an aortic aneurysm to buying a Fitbit to constantly check my pulse. I went to the ER bc I thought I was dying and now I’m paying a 2 thousand dollar bill when they say my heart is fine. It’s just exhausting.
