Hello,
I have gone through the same, was at a 'halt' for some time and currently am going through it again. It really is bad.
But, there is this one thing that you may try to do. Though, I am sure you have already seen or done a lot of similar things and I can gaurantee the first thought that comes to your mind after you see this will be 'oh, already done, but, didn't work' or something along those lines. But, despite that, I would ask you to do give it a try as I myself thought these same things and avoided it at first too.
FIRST
1. Close your eyes, take a slow, deep breath and count from 1 to 5 while taking it. The counting speed will be the same as the second's hand of clock.
2. After reaching 5, hold your breath and count from 1 to 5 while holding your breath.
3. Slowly release your breath while counting from 1 to 5.
4. After that, hold your breath again and count from 1 to 5 while holding it.
Repeat the cycle for about 5 minutes.
SECOND
1. Do '1' and '2' from FIRST.
2. After this, just slowly release your breath. There is no need to count or hold your breath.
Repeat the cycle for about 5 minutes.
THIRD
1. Do '1' and '2' from FIRST.
2. This time, instead of slowly releasing your breath like in SECOND, release the breath with a sharp force in a single release THROUGH THE MOUTH. The forceful release should be similar to how you release a deep sigh and it MUST be done through the mouth.
Repeat this for about 5 minutes.
After this, just sit in a relaxed position keeping your eyes closed and take slow breaths, no deep breath or anything. There is also no need of counting. Just take slow breaths and focus on how the breath enters and exits your body.
Try to visualise how the air enters through your nostrils and goes to your lungs when you breath in and the air present inside passes through the lungs and out of your nostrils when you breath out. Just repeat this cycle a few times.
At the end of it, you will probably feel sleepy. That is a sign that you are doing it correctly.
I am not anybody specialized in this field or anything. I, too, like you am suffering from various forms of ocd and struggling to live a 'normal', or, to be precise, a not too abnormal life. I shared this with you because I received it from a professional therapist hoping that it would help you relax if only for a little while. If it does help you, please share it with others too.
Last thing that I want to say is that know that you are not the only one. I went to severe depression when this happened to me last time just because I thought nobody would understand me as nobody at home understood me. Don't get discouraged thinking that. Know that there is someone out there somewhere like you going through probably the very similar symptoms. Keep going on with your life. There will come a time when you too can look back and smile thinking that there was a time like that and feel proud of the fact that you have overcone it despite of all the hardships.
