Do any of you ladies struggle with wearing bras? Lately I can not stand the feeling of wearing bras. I get so uncomfortable even in most sports bras that obsess and stress myself out so badly. There has to be some bra out there that is just soft and comfy enough so it doesnāt drive me insane. Anyone else experience this? And any bra recommendations?
Yessss. š© I developed eczema on my NIPPLES. Super super itchy and sore. Iāve gotten a medication for it since but I still cannot wear bras at home. I honestly donāt quite have the best advice, I didnāt manage to find a comfortable bra. š But I will sayāthe better fitting the bra, the better. Loose bras, although we imagine theyād be more comfortable, brush against your skin and move around constantly. Too tight though, and itās suffocating. Iād aim for a balance between the two. Iāve heard bralettes work wonders but Iām not sure if they work on larger cup sizes. But know I can relate! Youāre not alone.
@Cinnamoroll Iām a small 34D not a whole lot going on with my chest š I definitely need just a little support though especially at the gym. Iāve been going braless for about 2 years now because I get horrible anxiety over them.
Omg YES! I have health OCD and many of the bras I used to wear irritates a āsymptomā of mine. And just the overall feeling of them is awful. Iāve noticed since my OCD flare up I have a hard time with any kind of tight clothing.
@emilytravelswild I can wear fitted shirts and leggings but bras? No way! I am having the hardest time finding one that is even remotely comfortable
From the time I was little, Iāve had some sensory issues. I couldnāt wear those puffy sleeves with the elastic because I was uncomfortable to distraction. I used to develop welts where the elastic met my skin, most likely due to the stress/anxiety.
When training bras came into play, it was so bad. I couldnāt concentrate. In fact, I barely wore a bra until I was 26 (thankfully I was an A cup back then). Even now, I need a very particular bra and underwear
@Daisyandconfused What kind of bras do you buy now? Iām a 34D so I need a little something especially when Iām at the gym.
@OCD_Queen_518 - I wish I had the energy to work out! For me, I do prefer underwire but all undergarments have to be cotton with no tags and very few seams. Nothing crazy tight either. It took me years to wear tights/pantyhose or anything of the sort. Like I said, sensory issues!!! š
@Daisyandconfused I have found that working out helps a lot with my OCD and Anxiety so I force myself to at least get outside and go for a walk each day or go to the gym. Otherwise my mind is chaos! I found a few really soft light weight bras at target that Iām going to go try on today. Hoping to find something I donāt hate! Thanks for your input hun!

Yes! I started to hate the feeling of a bra, so I started wearing sports bras, but not the ones made from that way tooo tight non breathable fabric, but ones made from stretchy fabric!
@lvg Any particular brand? I hate the super tight sports bras.
@OCD_Queen_518 I donāt know what country youāre from, but in my country we have these stores called Zeeman, pretty cheap, but still good quality! I donāt know if they have stores in other countries tho:( I do believe they have stores in The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Spain, France, Austria and Portugal! If youāre from there, yay! If not, I do believe you can order online, but Iām not sure if they ship to non EU countries :( I can also recommends Decathlon! If you have that! Theyāre a little bit more pricey, but still affordable!

Iāve had this issue now, itās almost now made me obsess that itās been causing breathing or heart issues because it feels so tight around my arms . Itās almost been a hassle putting one on and dreading over it for a few hours out the day
@faythcass YES! I obsess over being uncomfortable so bad and I can not shake the feeling! I just need a little bit of something even a bralette would work for me.
every once in a while my body image issues flare up & it can get intense. i obsess over the feeling I have in my clothes to check if Iāve gained weight, think of food, and have this perception that everyone sees me in a certain light I donāt want to see. i really can beat myself up with negative self talk. i havenāt realized until today since body image issues are so common that this could be my ocd. i used to engage in highly restrictive behavior when it came to foodāI eliminated any white carbs, dairy, meat, etc & would do intermittent fasting. itās hard not to fall into this obsession. I gained a few pounds over the last couple of months and it makes me feel anxious for the summer. anyone have a similar experience? x
Hi, my name is Grace and I am a 17 year old. For the longest time my brain has been very hyper focused on little things. I always just thought it was small ADHD because my mom and sister have it. Although, these past two years it has become unbearable. I will be up all night with intrusive thoughts of a variety of things. I always feel wrong trying to figure out whatās wrong because I know some people really suffer from bad OCD. Although, i find myself focusing on small things in life and not being able to stop. For a small example, I play softball and I have to wear my hair up. Although, if there is literally the smaller bump and I feel it, i wonāt be able to stop thinking about it. Every. Single. Time. this happens. Itās gotten to the point where I realize I canāt stop thinking about it and try to remind myself itās not that big of deal, but every time I always end up redoing it. I understand that my hair isnāt a problem, and I can live with it. Itās just that I find it also happening in other circumstances. If something is messed up, i will smack the hell out of myself to forget about it. I know thatās wrong but itās the only thing thatās helping me. In the end, I donāt even know if this is OCD. Itās might be very light OCD or some sort of ADHD sign but itās exhausting and I want some things that can help.
Hi everyone! I just wanted to see if anyone else felt the way that I did about something related to SO-OCDā¦ Iām finally discovering that I might have this sub genre of OCD and have had it for a very long time. I have always felt awkward around other women especially in more intimate situations (like changing in the same room, laying in bed together or giving compliments about looks). All of this hit me like a ton of bricks when I got into a relationship with my boyfriend 2 years ago and our sex life started to decline after about 9 months of us being together. It makes me feel extremely uncomfortable and I obsess over finding out why I have grown not attracted to him sexually. Am I a lesbian? Am I just depressed? Am I falling out of love with him? Was I ever in love with him? The list goes on and my obsession with it grows stronger. Iām so scared I will have to break up with him because I do love him and love spending time with him. Iām scared to start ERP therapy because Iām worried Iāll realize that itās best to just let him go š
