I m at the dentist right now I m worry because I have tmj I m already In pain in my teeth head pressure eyes face ears pain all over but don’t want them to give me anything for the pain so I won’t say anything but coming to the dentist with tmj pain is the worse plus I have dentist anxiety
Which part is the OCD part? No matter what your challenge is, sticking to the facts works well. Just keep the known facts at the front of your mind, and disregard the panic or unknowns as much as you can without the fight. Also, sometimes doing the opposite is a good idea. If your sabotaging mind is telling you to not tell the doctor about your pain , you should consider telling him or her what you are actually going through .

@LeslieB3 Yes tmj flare up is the worse I have a mouth guard but they made it way too thick is making me clench more in my sleep I have to pay out pocket for another one because the Medicaid won’t pay until 2 years later after the first one I don’t know why but dentist terrify me today I was so nervous but the person was so gentle and nice I was surprised no pain at all I told her I been to other dentist before and I feel tortured and she said it didn’t have to felt that way so my fear was coming from bad experience In the past now I understand I haven’t heard about that unstuck website I might check it out thank you for stopping by

Struggling really bad today, worried about my headaches and concerns it’s a brain tumor. My grandmother who is 83 recently found out she has a brain tumor and is getting it removed, now ever since I have been getting a headache behind my eye and feels like dull pressure I been worried it’s a tumor my dr said it’s just a tension headache or migraine or muscleskeletor headache she doesn’t seem to worry after speaking to her over the phone but I’m still so worried!!!
I’m terrified out of my mind to her my wisdom teeth out tomorrow. They gave me anxiety pills to take tonight And in the morning but I don’t want to take them, I’m scared they’re just trying to kill me on purpose by doing this surgery and I can’t take this
So, health concern OCD is a big subtype that I struggle with. I’m barely ever in really bad shape in my health but it doesn’t stop me from worrying about having everything under the sun. I have a pretty gnarly gum abscess near my wisdom tooth and am FINALLY pulling the trigger on getting all 4 wisdom teeth ripped out next month. I have never been under anesthesia before. And I can’t tell you how terrified I am. I have been crying and having panic attacks every single day since the decision made by me and my dentist. I’m nervous about the unknown and not being able to have control over my body when I go under, during the surgery, and when I wake up. Also terrified of something going wrong in recovery. So I come to ask! What was your wisdom tooth surgery like? Were you as worried as me? Did it all turn out okay. I need some big help.
