Worried my downstairs neighbor can hear me snoring

I'm currently in the process of taking an at home sleep study, and my anxiety has latched onto worrying if my downstairs neighbor can hear my snoring through the floor. I don't want to disturb her sleep. I feel really bad. I'm trying to take this sleep study and get the most accurate results so maybe I can get a CPAP, help with jaw + airway, and not snore anymore. I'm trying to tell myself the worst that could happen is she complains to the landlord about my snoring, or bangs on my front door, or hits the ceiling. I'm trying to remind myself that this is the worse it could get, and if she confronts me, I could just tell her I'm in the process of trying to get my at home sleep study done so I'm not snoring. I don't know, this is eating me up, and making it actually hard to sleep during the sleep study because I'm worried about my snoring

I've never heard anyone snoring through the ceiling. Through walls, yes but through a ceiling no. It would be quite hard to hear through a ceiling. However, if it's bothering you then you could ask her if she hears anything.

I'm not quite sure how to approach her or if I even should. I've lived in my apartment for about a year now and she's always been my downstairs neighbor. Surely she would've said something by now? I could approach my landlord maybe? I don't know, my biggest fear is that I'm going to be kicked out of my apartment, or the police are going to get involved.

@rinahello123 You're really overthinkng this. She most likely has not heard you and even if she did, she would tell you before the landlord. Also, there's no way you're going to get kicked out or have the police involved over snoring. If you want, slip a note under her door with your number and say sorry if you hear the snoring, if it bothers you please message me.

@Studybug I think I might just wait for her to come to me. We've both been living here for a year, so if there was a problem at night, I feel like she would've told me by now. If I do leave a note I think I might say this: Would it be worthwhile to leave a note on her door, or should I just wait for her to come to me if there's a problem? Here is the note: Hi, I live in the apartment above you and wanted to write a note apologizing if you can hear the sound of snoring coming from my bedroom at night. I'm currently doing sleep tests and working with medical providers on resolving the issue. Sincerely, Eric (Apt C-408) Would it be weird to leave my cell number?

@rinahello123 I think that note sounds good. You don't have to leave your number but if she can hear you then it will be easier to notify you through text rather then her having to knock on your door. However, I think you're right in waiting for her to come to you but if the waiting is causing you distress then just slip the note under her door.

Convinced someone is in my house

This might just be me, but I heard one noise and cannot get this out of my head. It’s been an hour and a half. I’m convinced this noise must be someone here. I’ve checked my window multiple times and I’ve planned every attack route to defend myself. HOW can I quiet down these thoughts to sleep? Do sound machines work? I feel like I’m arguing with myself and I can’t get a word of reason in. The more I try to not think about, the more the thoughts come in.

Help please

I was trying to sleep in an aunt house and I’m suffering from nightmares or when I take naps or sleep I dream horrible things, and I took a little nap and I was about to start having a nightmare and I woke up. There’s a person that lives here and he’s not even here but I was about to have a dream with him it’s so scary he’s not even my family member or anything. And like it’s a delicate topic. But it’s the feeling that I can’t even sleep sometimes without dreaming this things that are so scary . And the groinal responses are about to kill me ! This is truly destroying my life I don’t know what to do I don’t want to be like this but I’m too tired to stay awake and too tired to sleep

Please help me POCD

PLEASE HELP ANY ANSWER WILL DO So I moved to a big city a few months earlier and it was summer, so it was hot. I slept with my window and balcony door open for air. One night, whilst i was trying to sleep, i heard what seemed to be a woman m*aning at times. At first it was annoying and was like omg stfu but it's embarrassing but soon I felt a bit aroused by it. Then, so many months later, I got a thought, what if it wasn't a woman but a child crying? And I got so terrified and I began trying to remember the memory again to remember exactly what I heard, then began looking on youtube what children sound like when they cry to make sure it wasn't what I heard. I'm absolutely terrified. I can't even check to make sure. I need help
