Personally, I think it could be a trigger (but I'm not a doctor). OCD tends to cause intrusive thoughts and make us think we are going crazy. As a matter if fact, I think that the thought you are going crazy and might have some other type of mental illness is a type of OCD in itself!

I’ve been dealing with this theme for about 2 weeks and it’s the worst I feel like every symptom that I see that has to do with schizophrenia my mind tries to trick me with it but then again idk if it’s even ocd bcus it’s seems so real like I’m really schizophrenic

Tbh, it kinda sounds like OCD (but I am not a doctor). I have done extensive research on OCD and it seems like there are many elements that you mention that play along that certain type of OCD (where you think you are going crazy or have some type of other mental illness) I hope that you can see one very soon to help you with this battle! But, just be strong, you can win!?

It's OCD. I had a meeting with a psychiatrist some time ago, and after listing to her my intrusive thoughts, she asked me if a certain thought was also what bothered me. I was like: OH NO! why did you ask me that? It wasn't something I even considered, but now that particular thought will be one of my questions. I was genuinely distressed. I would venture to say what you're describing is, indeed, OCD.

The "heat wave", is it in your brain? I once had OCD that I had multiple personalities, and it went on for some time, but eventually it did go away, though I have developed other severe OCD symptoms ? but the best thing is to get into a therapist and they can help. Have you checked out IOCDF? There is a resource for finding specialized OCD therapists, alongside a bunch of resources!

Ah, man, that sucks? Yeah, OCD has a strange tendency to morph. If you want to do a little more research into OCD, here is a channel on YouTube with great videos explaining things. It's called "Restored Minds". Check him out!

But hopefully you can see a therapist soon. I had my first session a few days ago, and I wish I did this forever ago! I actually feel hopeful now.

But thank you! I think I am getting to see one soon and I am glad it’s working for you

It’s more like I think something that has to do with the government and I just get this heat wave and question if it’s something I really believe and at the end I say “I’m really schizophrenic” cause I end thinking I really am

A month ago I just diagnosed myself and honestly don’t know a lot of ocd and sometimes I think it is but these thoughts lately make me think it actually is schizophrenia

It’s more like my body, I used to have pedophilia ocd but I used to try to do erp not sure if that’s why it faded away and then out of nowhere I started to think I’m schizophrenic while also being a pedophile

How long have you been experiencing this? I just still get surprised at how ocd knows how to get you, playing games with you and convincing

Tbh, kind of my whole life. I never really noticed that it affected my life until I did research and saw that throughout my life I dealt with it. But, 7-8 years ago is when it REALLY got intense and has brought me to this point. I agree, OCD surprises me in how it twists thoughts and plays games. BUT! With therapy, there is help.

And what made you get help until now? If u don’t mind me asking bcus I know it might be personal, just bcus as soon as I found out what it was I kept telling myself I’ll call, this the day n kept telling myself that

I just kind of kept hoping it would go away on it’s own since I’ve seen ppl with that result but it came to this n I just can’t take it

I basically destroyed my life. I thought I reached rock bottom so long ago, but somehow I kept digging past that point. Now... things are quite severe and in chaos in almost every aspect of my life. I honestly wish I got help so long ago. But, here I am, and the only thing I can do is take it one day at a time. So, try not to procrastinate until the point where things seem absolutely hopeless.

I’m sorry to hear that, I hope that with the help you’re getting now, things start to get better little by little but yes I’ve reached out n I’m now trying to get help so I’m looking forward to that
