Do you think this looks like a cavity? I am scared to get a filling because it can’t be undone and my ocd tells me I can’t candle it and will freak out and end up pulling my testy out because I can’t handle knowing there is a foreign object in me. I have a toothache tho and saw this. I’m scared
it could also be discoloration or staining. it could be a cavity it could not be. the only way you’ll know the most likely answer is by going to your dentist.
Personally if it was me I would get checked over by my dentist 🦷.

Do you have a therapist? If yes talk this through. If no, can you get one? You can look for a sensitive and compassionate dentist. Maybe ask a kids dental office who they would recommend. You can get a dental checkup without getting a procedure. Follow ERP.
@dph044@yahoo.com Thanks for the advice! I have a therapist but we don’t do erp. She is just a talk therapist I use to grieve my pre mental illness life and the loss of all my friends. I used to do ERP when I was in a partial hospitalization program and it was wonderful, but I just feel like doing it for only an hour a week with my therapist would just be kind of pointless because it’s not enough to make a difference does that make sense? I’m not sure what to do since I’m struggling very bad.

I think if ERP was wonderful before, it can be again. You can work toward getting your life back! Yes its an hour a week with an NOCD therapist, however, you will have homework that you can do daily on your own. It may help you work up to going to a dentist.
